I was really hoping they would be better.
I was really hoping they would be better. The batteries drain really fast (it doesn't come with batteries, I'm speaking of our own which are rechargeable energizer quality ones). My husband uses these for his 1hr 20min commute to work and back through a mountain pass, daily. The batteries are dead 30-45 mins in. Sometimes an element by a toe gets hotter than the rest, and sometimes as a fluke they still work and reheat when he gets home.. go figure. In general, they're just not consistent. I only bought these because the Firstgear heated socks that go with his suit were out of stock. I would still recommend these, they do work, and if yo're not going through outside freezing conditions, they should suffice. I can imagine an office job.... BTW, we got the L/XL, my husband wears about a 10 1/2 shoe, fits perfect.

Could be warmer but I think they help.
Although I wasn't sure these socks were heating up at all, I tried turning one off and leaving the other on and there was a difference. I do wish they put out more warmth. I actually bought these in hopes of preventing my toes from going numb due to Raynauds. If they are just enough to prevent the numb toes I will be satisfied and I did wear them on two different days without any numbness so I will probably purchase another pair. I was happy with the lenght and was looking for heated socks that were not too thick and so I was pleased with the fit.

Ice cubes for every one.
The "warmth" these socks provided is enough to maybe keep a mouse fart from freezing. This morning I woke up excited to try on my handy dandy electric socks. After searching the house high and low I finally found the SIX batteries required to run these supposed to be totes awesome socks. Nuh uh, not gonna freeze this time!So I head out, bundled up in my carhartt and thermals and hoodie and jacket and my handy dandy socks. After about 10 minutes my feet were so cold I could have kicked a a brick and broke it with my feet that must have been totally frozen solid. I couldn't go home and change though because I was already at my lesson and ready to take on the day. 30 minutes into my lesson my feet were ice cubes. By the time my hour lesson ended I could no longer feel these things called feet. I was sure they had frozen solid. Stick a fan on them and they could have been air conditioners. After returning home I yanked these socks off as quick as I could revealing bright red feet and toes. Which I promptly put into actual warm socks and defrosted my poor tootsies due to the lack of warmth from your worthless socks.

Great idea, poor execution
Every winter, I suffer with leg and foot pain due to the cold. My spouse bought these for me for Christmas, trying to give me some relief. Sadly, I would not recommend these socks for the following reasons... I left them on for at least 4 hours and they never warmed up. The wires in the right sock near the outside of my pinky toe made walking very uncomfortable. The left side wiring seemed to have better placing. After only a few hours of wear, the seams started to fray. Good idea, poor execution. Returned immediately.

I was very disappointed with these socks
My feet were freezing while hunting for deer in Maine so I purchased a pair of Alpha heated socks to wear with my Muck boots. I was very disappointed with these socks. I used them for about one week and tried wearing a pair of woolen socks over the heated socks. My feet still got cold. I'm glad I didn't purchase the rechargeable battery pair which were a lot more expensive. I would not purchase them again. This is the first item I have purchased on Amazon which I'm not happy with.

Not very warm
They are comfortable but can feel the wire running down side of foot. Also did not get very warm at all. Very disappointed in overall heating.
