Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I bought these to make a desktop that folds to the wall. I bought an ikea desktop and if you have done that, you know how light those are. I doubt you can find a lighter desktop anywhere. I have the brackets lag bolted into a joist on each side and the brackets barely hold to the desk up. When I move my arms to grab my mouse, or drink, etc, the whole table violently wobbles. I am attaching a video showing how poorly these are made, because I don't want anyone else making the mistake I did.

Installed this product with a shelf in September 2019. One bracket failed a month later, failing under load less than vendor stated its capacity to be. Broke at hinge and when the shelf fell, the entire bracket fastened to the underside of the shelf tore loose. Since it’s past the return window I am stuck with a shelf that won’t stay up. I’ll have to build my own brackets from scratch. Junk!

I bought these to support a 2' x 4' shelf that I mounted to them for a food prep area; works great to lift into place until it clicks, then press the two levers to lower it. Very satisfied.
