Works even on multiple floors. I did not expect it to do that, as it relies on an omni antenna. Plenty of power to run extensions on the second floor from the first floor. Works exactly as advertised. Handy call feature. We've used the direct call and whole house call features and they work just like it says it should. Clear communication from any location.

We bought these because we moved into a two-story house and our lovely teenagers could never hear us calling them from downstairs no matter how loud we yelled. We felt like this was a good price for 3 so we could keep one in the kitchen and one in each of the kids’ rooms. It does the job and was easy to set up. It is not the clearest though. Kind of reminds me of playing with cheap walkie talkies as a kid. It is very muffled no matter how close/far away you are from it or now matter the volume level. We often have to repeat ourselves and you can’t say an entire sentence because it won’t make sense. We usually just make it a short few words like “come eat”.

This works fine at our house. We have one teenager living in a detached structure next to the house. This does the job to summon him to dinner and for general communication. The sound is so-so but the range is great.

This intercome works on the radio and everyone can listen in to your conversations,and even worse than that you can hear what other ppl talk if your neighbor decides to use her intercom at 2 am you will be woken up!

Old folks, hearing not what it used to be, bodies not what they used to be, moving into a condo with two flights of stairs. Not the smartest move! But we WERE smart enough to buy this three-way intercom system! Love the plug-in-and-use ease of installation! Also that they can be moved around to any location with an electrical outlet! Good product, good price, good for more than just old folks! And - get this - if young folks ever move in next door, we can give them one, along with the responsibility for US! After all, these intercoms WILL operate through a fire wall! Save some steps - buy this easy-to-use intercom system! (And, if you sell your house down the road, you can simply unplug and remove! (Not like the installed-in-the-wall monsters that tell your buyers "this house has been around a long, long time!")

Use it for elderly mom's apartment attached to house. Easy and clear communication. No interference like I had with other items in past. No crazy sounds. Quiet until used. I have one right near my couch. You need to add water proof ones to hang in showers, etc for falling is all I would recommend. If you have, let me know.

I have a large all climate controlled metal workshop beside my house about a hundred feet away. Have never been able to get a wireless intercom to work between from the house to the shop until now! These work great. Loud and clear with no radio noise. Great Intercom!!!!!
