Some good recipes, but what they fail to make clear is that this is not 500 different recipes, it's like 100 recipes with 4 variations on each.

I like the format of the 500 series cookbooks, standard recipes with several variations. This one contains some types of slow cooker recipes that I have not seen before. Lots of lamb dishes. There is also a general guide to using a slow cooker that is helpful.

Love these books! I want the whole collection!

Easy to understand

This book proves that that quality trumps quantity.My other half bought this book for me for my birthday because she knows I love using my slow cooker. I've prepared three dishes out of this book so far; they were all mediocre at best.I tried a lamb dish (and lamb is not cheap). I was pretty excited to see the outcome and serve it up as the first prepared meal from my new book. It was as bland as you could get. The two of us only ate half a bowl. We threw out the rest of the mush because neither of us had any idea how to redeem it.What a waste of money. Save yourself the disappointment and do some searches on the internet for good recipes. At least when you find them online, other people comment and give variations and suggestions. The best part? It's free.

I'm pleased with this recipe book as I just purchased a slow cooker for myself they are easy recipes to follow and would recommend it to anyone buying a slow cooker .

Really helpful little recipe book - I use it often.

plenty of ideas in the book and with a little bit of thought you can substitute foods to make many more dishes too.
