Great Value!
This pool thermometer is perfect. The design with the long string to attach makes sure you are getting an accurate reading from mid level, not just near the surface of the water. I tied it to my steps and it goes about half way down my 52 inch high pool. Super easy, just drop it in and it’s ready to go. It seems to be very accurate, picking up even the slightest differences in temperature. Great value for the money.

Accurate and sturdy, great for on a boat.
This is a nice quality thermometer. It is much better built and some of them and has remained accurate. I use it on my boat. I like that it sinks down and gives me a more accurate temperature then one that stays on the surface which is often warmer. I added a longer cord to it. It is hitched to the gunnel and when I am at anchor I drop it overboard for 10 minutes and get a reading.

The best!
I bought this about 3 or 4 yrs ago. The string finally gave way. Guy who posted the pics of the pin removed was very helpful. Accurate, jives with pool heater and easy to read. Floating ones are not as accurate as they read surface temp. I got a float from the fishing supply store, styrofoam. Just buy this one and move on,

Don't buy this thermometer
Believe the bad reviews. Don't buy this thermometer. I put the thermometer in my pool and had it their for about 2 weeks. It seemed just fine and read an accurate 70 degree Fahrenheit. Then just went blank! After 2 weeks of just hanging in the pool at 70 degrees! Waste of $$$. Zero stars but they won't let me.

Perfect! Just as expected
Love this it’s perfect! We ordered other brands that float on top of the water and found that bugs would gather on top of it and it would get really faded. This was the perfect solution! It stays completely submerged, which also means the temperature reading is more accurate. We tie it right to our pool stairs for easy access. Great value for the money and we’re super happy with it!
