Inferior to the original
I hate it when companies cheapen a product and then try to pass it off as the same thing. My old brown-paper package of this exact tea lists its ingredients as: "Chinese Senchung [sic] Oolong Tea Flavored with Madagascar Island Vanilla with Slivers of Almond." And that's exactly what it was. It was a medium-bodied tea full of the natural flavors of vanilla and almond. Delicious! You could see big slices of almond in the tea, along with marigold petals. Well, the marigold petals are still there, but now the ingredient list reads: "Chinese black tea, almonds, marigold petals, vanilla and almond flavor." If there are any actual almonds in my bag, I must have missed them. Now the tea is a heavy, dark blend that tastes overpoweringly of artificial vanilla and almond flavoring. Awful! In fact, it doesn't even seem to be an Oolong at all. I suspect that Boston Tea is simply re-packaging its vanilla-almond black tea blend under an Oolong label to try and fool some of its customers into thinking that this is a different product. The only reason I'm giving it as much as 2 stars is because of my fondness for the original Vanilla Almond Oolong, which apparently doesn't exist anymore.

I'm a huge fan of Oolong so I couldn't pass this up.
If you like loose leaf tea this should be on your wish list. The tea has creamy nutty flavor with a more pronounced dark Oolong flavor. It's a little liter then some Oolongs but that's not a bad thing.Normally I wouldn't comment much on the packaging but a lot of loose leaf tea comes in wimpy packaging with little or more seal once opened. The pack that my Tea came in has provided a good seal and kept the tea fresh as the day I bought it.Pro Tip: If you like Oolong but have a hard time skipping your morning coffee try a bland of the two. Simply add 2/3rds coffee grounds and 1/3rd loose leaf to your morning perk and you may be pleasantly surprised.

I'm not a fan of the flavor combo, or this version at least.
it's a good quality tea, which is more than I can say for some US company's' loose tea, but I perhaps don't "get" the flavor combination. The first time I had it, I didn't like it at all but getting to warm to it a bit. Good, large bag. I don't think this one can be infused more than once (which is probably true of he majority of teas with fruit flavors. I prefer a good quality Oolong, but pay the price or stick with tea bags, I guess!

You need alot for a little.
I like the smell of this tea but thats about the best thing going for it, I used a huge tablespoon and a half for a 16oz pot of tea and it still was weak, for an oolong that was a bit weird.Smells great but again thats about all I get out of this blend..its just so/so

Was Delicious tea
Original: This tea is so tasty! I do a lot of loose leaf teas and this is one of my favorites.Edit: I did LOVE this tea. In the new year (or since I bought the first bag 4 months ago) they have changed the packaging and most importantly the blend. It's a slightly bitter, almost coffee flavored DARK oolong with much less vanilla and even less almond flavor. And no more almond pieces. I'm so disappointed this wonderful tea has changed.

This tea is has a better taste than I had expected.
I was ready to try a new flavor, so chose the Vanilla Almond. While a enjoy drinking it, I will go back to fruit flavored teas. I'm now looking for a peach flavored tea.

First time drinking this was not a charm.
I did not enjoy this tea & love tea. This was the first time I had tried a loose leaf tea & I did not like the experience at all. It was messy & didn't enjoy the taste, like my other teas. A big disappointment, especially when I see I can't even return it. It was a waste of money for me.

Makes Great Iced Tea
Great tea for the money. I use this to make Iced tea by the gallon and it works really well. tastes as good as some of the very expensive teas. Great value. 5 Coffee scoops of tea into boiling water (in a french press) for 5 minutes. Then pour off into a gallon container and dilute and sweeten.
