Did not work, it comes with three packets, so after the first one didn't take I figured it was user error and tried again. Both times I followed the directions, mixed it up, let it sit for an hour, put it on my hair and waited an hour or two, then washed it out without using shampoo. Instead of burgundy I got patches of black-ish tints all over my light brown hair. I waited over 24 hours to wash it with actual shampoo and most of the rest of the color went down the drain too. So if you're looking for a Halloween costume hair that looks like a zombie who has lived in the woods for months, this is your go-to. If not, find some higher quality henna so the color will actually stay.

I purchased this based on a few other reviews. I tried it out last night. I think the henna must be old or not a great quality, it didn't make my hair red at all. The indigo is what really stands out, it darkened my medium brown hair to a very dark brown, almost black. I like how it looks, but was hoping for more of a burgundy color. The henna is gritty like others have said, but it isn't unbearable. My hair feels thicker and healthier. I let it sit for about 45 mins before putting it on my hair, which I left on for 4 hours. I bought the 3 pack, so I will be using the rest up, but after that I would like to find a higher quality henna for more red.I do reccomend if you aren't looking for a strong henna color.EDIT: I am now doing another session of it(10/13/10). All of the pretty black has faded and I was left with my brown color. Doing more reading I will def NOT purchase this again. They recommend you to wait up to 4 hours before putting it on your hair. By that time any indigo in the mixture will be spoiled. Do your homework before purchasing henna, it will save you a TON of time(considering you pretty much have to have an afternoon set aside to do this)

Didn't cover my hair too well maybe it's too dark.

I have tried other brands of henna hair dyed, all in the same color, burgundy, this one is by far the darkest, not much red tones at all, but it does make my hair softer then most others.
