Absolute Removable Elite 3-W Mask S, M, L, XL [Misc.]

Well, it came damaged (there was a break in the mask that was done during production. They replaced it no questions asked. Nice mask but I have yet to fight in it. I like the removeable bib I just hope it lasts as long as my old Tripplette one did (over 13 years in SCA fencing and is still legal).

The first thing I noticed when I bought this was that it was much bigger than other companies' masks at the Large designation. I've never been able to fit a mask from my school on perfectly on the first try and always had to stretch it at least a little to fit my head in. In this mask, I actually a lot of room and could even turn my head inside if I wanted to. I actually had to stretch it in the other direction to make it tighter. The removability is very handy if you fence a lot, so that you can wash that part or buy a new one whenever you need to and it's easily done with the velcro in the mask. The only problem would be that the extra layer (due to the removable section) makes it a little hotter in there for your head especially during heated bouts.

I got this for HEMA rapier fencing.Works fine for freeplay. If you're doing longsword though, I might consider getting a kendo mask instead because it's bloody hard to see out of this mask when you're watching for a tiny point. It gets a tidbit hard to breathe and see out of it, but it's not a fault of the product, it just comes with the territory of a mesh-designed mask. It protects you well and you can easily add an occiptal protector for it. I haven't really had to wash it too often because most of the sweat is inside where it's easily wiped off.Bottom line: Works fine if this is the kind of mask you're looking for.

This mask fits well and is built to be durable. I recommend this to any fencing enthusiast. I had ordered one that was too large--based on a recommendation here that they were sized smaller than one would expect--, but they quickly sent me an RMA number, and I had the correct size in a matter of days.

this mask is a no frills basic option, there isn't any fancy electric scoring or anything, but its solid and dependable. this wont break anytime soon and is even comfy to boot
