I have been trying to find a chalkboard to use my Loddie Doddie chalk markers on and let me tell you this board works PERFECT for them! I primed this board before using and any chalk markers, so far, have been great on it and EASY to wipe off!

The frame is real wood, the corner joints are tight. The blackboard surface doesn’t need to be conditioned to use chalk on it, it writes perfectly, erases completely. Magnetic ability is a real plus, magnets stick nicely. It looks great on my wall. What’s not to love?

Bought this to display travel magnets. Holds very well. Easily installed on the wall. Have not used chalk board so can't comment on that.

Don’t waste money on adhesive substitutes. Buy this one first and last.

I purchased this item to go in my kitchen/dining space in a farmhouse/rustic style home. It is just perfect! The quality is outstanding and I love the overall look. It’s just the right size and looks great in the area I needed it for. I chose to use it with magnetic letters. In general, the item looks great on our wall and functions as required for a chalk board! The size we picked (20x30) was also very worth it for the price.On another note, the reason I removed one star is because, as one of the picture shows, the item arrived a bit damaged. One corner of the side was crushed a bit. I think this is due to how the item is laid out in the box. There's barely anything protecting the long sides of the frames, only the corners with those plastic covers. I can understand that a smaller version of this board wouldn't have this issue for shipment, but we took a bigger one, and the interior of the box was basically touching the 4 long sides that are unprotected which is bound to get crushed by anything packed on top or under during shipping. I would suggest adding either Styrofoam or more cardboard protectors around the edges to prevent this from happening.Fortunately, the crushed part is on the back of the board so, after hanging it to the wall, we can't really see it, which is why I don't really mind that much - the chalk board functionality is not affected whatsoever!

A very well crafted, high quality product. Many chalkboards out there are cheap and flimsy but this one isn't. The board is sturdy and magnetic. We can use both regular chalk and chalk markers on it, and it erases well, leaving no marks. The board also comes with an eraser, a small pack of chalk, screws for mounting to the wall and a mini leveller. Product was carefully packaged with plastic, corner protectors and a thin foam, which was highly unexpected. Very satisfied with the product, highly recommend for use at home, for school, for signage anywhere really. Great stuff!!
