I purchased this sharpener for my husband to use. It is easy to use. The size is nice as it can be used and then easily stored away. It is lightweight. I like I idea of extending the life of our knives. I feel like it is good quality. The knives are quite sharp when used.

I bought this back in 2019, 5 years ago. As my wife and I both are avid hunters and we butcher our own meat, this knife sharpener keeps all our blades nice and super sharp. Even now, 5 years later, I can put a razor edge on my Chicago knives. So sharp, they can cut through a tomato like hot butter. When using a knife around bone, that can dull the knife edge quickly. Just a 3 or 4 swipes through the sharpener and that knife is razor sharp again.No sharpener I have had, in my 66 years, has been able to be used on our hunting knives, they have much thicker blades. This sharpener puts a keen edge on them in a minute or two. A most amazing unit for sure.Its amazing how long this sharpener has lasted, and we use it a lot!I may just buy another one of these, in case they become unavailable in the future just to be sure I have another. Very well built with strong stand. I highly recommend for kitchen and hunting knives both.

Great sharpener with a strong metal frame with a padded base. However, focused attention is needed when drawing the knife through the device. Haphazard strokes could easily damage the sharpener blade holders. It's not that much skill is needed to get a sharp edge (unlike many other sharpeners), just care in keeping the knife centered in the groove and carefully returning the knife for the next stroke.A much less expensive version of this sharpener is available that sharpens just as well. The frame is plastic rather than metal and does not have a padded base. No big deal for me. I returned this, bought the other cheaper version and added my own padded feet. I bought this unit and the Tumbler around the same time. As far as ease of use and function, I will take this unit "hands down". My knives are sharper a lot faster.

This thing broke after 3 months. I was happy at first and then completely disappointed 3 months after. The plastic started just breaking a part the metal body is great but the plastic that you run the knife through it's just cheap plastic should have made them out of metal to. This is the first time I ever written a review about anything it made me that mad sign dissatisfied.10/12/19 Update the manufacture reached out to me offered me my money back or replacement letting me know that the issue I was having has been resolved I will go with the replacement at this time to see if the problem has been resolved I will update again after I receive the new one.10/16/19 just received new sharpener as promised. I will try this out for a week or two before I change my review it I did like how fast they reached out to me to try to resolve the problem and got me a new one sent out ⭐⭐👍 for that. 11/2/19 new one is working fine but I can only sharpen my knifes so many times.

Very well made & works as advertised. Solid heavy metal base not plastic, as another reviewer commented. Should provide years of service.
