Does a small-sized piece of bread pop up high enough from the top of the toaster to easily remove toast?

The only example I have is Thomas" English muffins, the smaller piece I have to get out using my bamboo toaster "tweezers'.

It has hooks on the botton to wrap the cord around. Cord storage was one of the main reasons I bought this toaster. I wrap the cord around the hooks and store the toaster in the cupboard when it's not in use.

How long are the slots on this toaster? Will it fit a slice of bread that is 5" long?

Slots are 5 1/4 in long, almost 1 1/2 in wide. Once bread is inside, total depth is 4 1/2 in.
