The set is very soft for arthritis hands. The case holds each hook very tightly so they won't slip out. The little sissors can even be put inside. The stitch markers can't really be stored inside. The stitch holder (another reviewer called it a giant safety pin) could be attached to one of the loops inside. The loops are made of stretch lace elastic. There is an attached flap inside that lays over the hook heads. Then it all snaps closed very neatly inside. It is quite compact and just perfect. It could even fit inside your purse. My order arrived packaged well and quickly. The hooks are all perfect. I checked all the handles and hook heads. No rough spots and all handles are tightly attached to the metal hook part. This was a wonderful purchase. I compared the sizes to one of my Clover hooks with the soft handles, it was perfect. The handles portion is two fold. It is a little wider at the thumb portion and rounder overall than the Clover type. The shape of these hooks is also two positional. I hold my hook like a knife with my thumb flat on the top. For those that hold it like a pencil, there is a slight indention on both sides right above the thumb spot where you would "pinch" it between thumb and index finger. For the price, this kit is a steal. I paid close to $7 per hook for my Clover ones. So at under $35 for the whole kit, it is an exceptional value. Checking today, of course, it is unavailable with no date it may be back in. Too bad. I think I will buy one as a gift when it comes back. If you are a serious crocheter, this is your set. You won't be disappointed.

There is so much in this hook set to recommend. The crochet hooks are as good or better, than the Clover Amour Set that I recently purchased. They're actually a lot like Clover Amour, a bit shorter in length, the hook itself is not as smoothly polished, shaped a bit differently. But I really prefer it, because the hooks grip the yarn better this way. The green row counter (Clover brand) is wonderful! I was actually going to buy one on my own. The black plastic scissors are portable, tough, just for yarn, also very handy & well-made. You get stitch markers, a stitch holder, plastic darning needles, and a plastic needle gauge. All of these bought separately would cost at least 20 bucks. The case is impressive! It closes right over the hook set into a tidy, take-along companion. Very pretty, too! I love love it, don't care what the brand is----you'll love it as well.

I love this set. My hands no longer hurt after crocheting for more than an hour at a time. The hooks are wonderful. The clippers have been upgraded from what is showing in the current picture. Unlike what other posts have said about the old clippers, these ones are great. Compact and do the job well but you do need to watch out when you open them, or they could cut you. I should also say the counter is pointless. It does not turn well at all. I tossed it. The case I got was not trimmed in green, but more pink. If you are looking for a travel case you should be aware it will not hold it all. I kept the little plastic bag the stitch markers came in and keep it all in a bowl, in my work area, so it works for me. Perhaps, if I made a bag for the bag it would be simple for traveling? ;)

I got this set to replace my Clover Soft Touch hook set I had up until a couple of months ago when my house caught fire. Either the fire consumed them or like some other things, the thieves who broke in while I was in the hospital being treated for smoke inhalation and after the fire department left, realized the value of the hooks and took them. I can only say good things about these hooks, they're an absolute dream for me. I have carpal tunnel in both hands and starting to get arthritis in my hands, but I can crochet for hours with them and literally have to make myself put my work down for the night. No joke, I don't have an issue with split yarn, even using really cheap yarn known for splitting, like I do with any other hooks. It's like a hot knife through butter with these hooks.My original set I gave almost double what this kit went for at $37.95 here on Amazon, for just the set of hooks. The only thing that was missing was the big safety pin and the stitch counter, but as I don't really have a use for either one, it's not a big deal. The scissors were also different, but I'm really loving the ones that were sent instead because they remind me of a pair my granny had when I was growing up.I haven't had an issue with getting the hooks out of the case or putting them back in, as the lace has elastic sewn into it and the handles slide in quite easily for me. I find it's best to hold on to the top of the colored grips and push them down in place. The case itself is quite lovely and folds up to roughly the same size as a tri-fold wallet for women, about 6 inches long and maybe 3 inches tall and about 2 inches thick when closed.I very much recommend this set to any crocheter, beginner or an old pro. You can definitely not go wrong with getting this set because I promise you won't want to use any other hooks after using these.

Love the case and other accessories But I Hate the hooks.... I thought these were Clover hooks but they are Not their just look a likes. :(The hook part is not deep enough and the hook head are to rounded. .... I only use Clover hooks they are the best I've ever used, they are curved perfectly for how I hold my hook and give less hand stress.... These hooks are not comfortable to hold and the heads are crap. Sorry...I did keep it though for the case and extras and I'll use the hooks for my students until they can afford to buy there own. Thank you.
