For over 10 years, PollenTec has been solving unique and demanding needs for effective filtering systems which can trap odors, pollutants and particulates. Now, due to our dedication to research and develop new products that you need, we are able to provide you with one of the industry’s most versatile and efficient filtration product lines available – Carbon Sorb Pollentec Activated carbon filter media. Carbon Sorb combines superior adsorptive (particulate adhesion) efficiency with advanced and versatile manufacturing methods. PollenTec has developed, distributes and markets Pollentec Activated carbon materials for a variety of uses. Our products are distributed worldwide. The high quality Pollentec Activated carbon used in Carbon Sorb is one of the most naturally porous structures known - one cubic foot provides approximately 200 million square feet of surface area! This gives Carbos Sorb tremendous adsorptive capacity and allows it to function as an extremely efficient net which snares and traps odors and impurities within its vast network of microscopic channels. Carbon Sorb Pollentec Activated carbon filter media uses a durable non-woven polyester or open-cell foam base. This combination of high quality Pollentec Activated carbon and base filtering media affords odor and particulate trapping arrestance (ability to remove particulates from the air). This combination further provides minimal resistance to airflow at various impregnation densities and filter thicknesses.

wow!
i bought this to go on an Air King 20" window fan.i wasn't sure how well it was going to work given the design differences.after removing the blue polyester filter layer i managed to get it mostly on and covering the whole back side of the fan except for a few small gaps.when i turned it on it had okay air flow on low, i'd guess closer to 50% air reduction than 30% but that's just a guess, certainly not the jet engine of normal, but still moving air.after running a little shy of 24 hours i noticed a significant reduction in air flow, so i was really disappointed and figured it probably wasn't going to work. i turned the fan off, and moved to pull off the filter... which is when i noticed that the entire back side of the filter was absolutely covered with pollen, at least two millimeters thick. after just 24 hours!! wow. i had no idea that much dust and pollen was coming into the house.this thing is amazing. my new anti-allergy best friend.

I would have to say judging by the amount of dust on the filter and the significant reduction of dust on my furniture, this filter is helping cleaning the air.
