Excellent
Makes knitting so much easier. Cables don't kink & if you need to change needle size you simply unscrew & put different size on. A pleasure to use.

Comparison with KnitPro Nova interchangeables
I progressed to KnitPro Nova interchangeables via Addi Turbo fixed circulars. I just couldn't afford to have every fixed needle in every size in every length, but had discovered the joy of knitting with such shiny, lightweight, metal tips. I don't think I'll ever use straights again.Anyway, I was delighted with the Novas for a while, but something about the way I handle them means that they inevitably come apart at least twice during any sizeable knitting project - really annoying when knitting an intricate lace project in the round. Even if my husband tightened them for me. I even bought some loctite to use - although I never actually did! And I slowly started to fall out of love with them. I noticed how the flow of stitches wasn't fluid - the stitches would catch ever so slightly where the cord met metal, and bunch up - despite not being a tight knitter. And one or two tips had faults in the nickel coating, not major, but distracting. Knitting with a lamp was positively uncomfortable - the needles are so shiny they can be blinding when they catch the light! Finally I found that the cords had just enough of a memory, especially when being taken out of a storage pocket, to be kinked enough to irritate.I had read reviews about ChiaoGoo Twist needles, and wanted to give them a go, but let's face it, all these needles are expensive and I didn't want to invest in any more until I could see them in the flesh, so to speak. I finally had my opportunity, and saw enough to persuade me to try them.Initially, they didn't seem all that different to KnitPros in appearance or weight. One or two features do stand out immediately though. Firstly, the size of each needle tip is permanently etched onto them - no more hunting for needle gauges at the start of every project. Secondly, ChiaoGoo have recognised that different sizes of needle tips work best with different thicknesses of cord - so cords, connectors and end-plugs come in two different sizes. But where KnitPros are nickel-plated, ChiaoGoos are stainless steel. This means that instead of shiny, they have a softer, brushed look and feel lighter. This means, too, that they handle differently when being knitted with. The stitches don't slide *quite* so freely as they do on Addis or KnitPros. They're not as grippy as bamboo needles, but definitely more so than the nickel-plated tips. So it's going to take a little bit of adjustment on my part to get properly used to them. Most impressively though, if you thought KnitPros were excellent for lace knitting, ChiaoGoos Twist Lace have an even longer, pointier needle tip. With hindsight, I do wish I'd discovered ChiaoGoos before KnitPros, because my final point about yarn grip is simply the only niggle I've found thus far. The cords have a metal core which means that they straighten up straight out of the packet and don't try to knot themselves up. The full set comes with pretty stitch counters, connectors, end stops, T-pins to tighten the connections, and a cardboard needle sizer. At first this last seems a little cheap - until you remember those etched sizes on the needle tips... Even the cords are permanently marked with their overall length! So to sum up - these needles are a little more expensive that KnitPro, but if you spend any amount of time in a day knitting, these are definitely the ones you want to invest in.And no, I don't work for ChiaoGoo or know anyone who does!

Perfect needles
Love the needles. Easy to change needle size. Only down size, I find it hard to tighten the needles. Pity they don't put the little red foam heart in the set.
