Grenadian Jouvay Chocolate "Dark & Smooth" 70% - 2 bars @ 3.5 oz ea

We visited the factory in Grenada a few years ago. So cool to see the locals hand carrying the cocao to the small factory. Have never tasted better chocolate, and every percentage was a hit with someone in the group. Writing this review on 70% because my wife and I agree it’s the best. I usually order 100% to avoid sugar. Still a treat, and good for you. So excited to find on amazon. Waiting for cooler weather to order more. Packaging was great, but I don’t think USPS or UPS will work well in this heat wave. Great folks making this happen, you should feel good supporting.

Eat their chocolate in Grenada and thought it was the best I had ever eaten. This did not taste the same. There were no fruit notes and the was not smooth

I’m giving them five stars to support a Grenadian business but if you’re looking for a luxury bar this isn’t it. The tempering hasn’t been done correctly so the bar is very chalky in texture. Additionally, for reasons I’m not entirely sure of, (maybe transport conditions) the bar lacks the acidic, floral notes typical of trinitario chocolate. Hopefully Jouvay can step up their game and someday fill the big shoes left by The Grenadian Chocolate Company but they’re not going to do it by skimping on quality.

Just returned from this chocolate factory in Grenada and had to have more.Really good! I like the dark , dark chocolate, but found the 70 % Jouvay to be to my liking.( i got to tase them all on the tour).Enjoy!
