Feline Wound Spray by Vetericyn Plus | Cat Skin Care and First Aid Spray - Itch and Sore Relief - 3-ounce

If I could give this a million stars it has earned every one. We were about to start our family camping trip which includes kids, 1 cat, 2 dogs when we saw a cat with a wound. All of us tried catching this elusive kitty. On day one knowing it would probably die if we didn't do something for it, I just sat outside bring food closer and closer. There is a collar on and homes near by so we know it belongs to someone. We had this purchased 3 bottles of this product for a paw pad crack on our dog which healed the pad in no time at all. Only needed a few sprays. So as this cat would walk by we saw this horrific wound in need of a vet bad. Never being able to pet her, we would put food on the picnic table for her infront of a box hiding her vision of us and leaving her hind end in the open. We got a dropper (because the pump sprayer it comes with would scar her off) and filled the dropper and super quickly soaked the wound. She poked her head up looked around and continued to eat so it did not sting her booboo at all. We did this for the 7 days as many times a day as we could. It went from the size of 2 silver dollar coins to less than a dime in the week. We extended our stay trying to catch her but it was not happening. We talked to the campground staff and they said it was an elderly couples cat who live there. We knocked on their door and asked. They said oh yes she comes and goes as she wants and showed us all the pics they have with her. So we gave them the rest of the unopened bottle and an extra unopened one of this product along with the dropper and sure enough here comes miss kitty. She walked right into the house, lol. We laughed on how much food she scammed from us but she got help also. It taught the kids kindness to other people's animals. We explained about the size the wound was and how great it looks now and they were so grateful for us helping her. She was our guest taking our treats and head amazingly well. This item is a must have in a pets household. We are wonderfully thankful for a painless item that literally works. It smells a bit of antiseptic. We will always have this in the guide now. Thank you thank you thank you for helping an animal in need.

I used Vetericyn Plus Cat Wound Spray for a small wound my cat had. It helps flush out debris, and keep the area clean which helps with healing. The spray comes out in a fine mist which makes it easy to apply, and doesn't startle my cat. It doesn’t seem to sting either, as my cat doesn’t fight me when I use it. There isn't a strong odor, and it dries quickly. I’m glad I have this on hand for future skin irritation and minor wounds. It's not a substitute for vet care with serious wounds, but has worked well for our minor issues.

(**This is a long and rambling review all to say that I would recommend this product. Maybe I am still traumatized. ) I was gifted a kitten by my son for my birthday. Unfortunately, our family dog has bitten him twice (either because of jealousy or territory), and for some odd reason, he still loves him, and wants to play. No fear. I, on the other hand, am traumatized, leery even but have hope that they eventually find a happy medium. I am more vigilant now. And hope they understand that I have enough love for them both. After all, it has to be hard being the only baby in the house for 5 years, and now have to share that attention with a another cute little fellow. Regardless, these incidents have meant expensive emergency vet visits, and wounds, they have healed or are in the process of healing. And until my little one gets older, I am keeping a close eye on them and when they are not supervised, they are separated. So please no criticism. Now back to the product review. After taking him to the vet for pain meds and antibiotics, I still looked for something to soothe his wounds. I found Vetericyn (Wound Care) on Amazon. It can be used for healing wounds and skin repair or irritation. This product has done a great job. The solution is clear and odorless. His injuries seem to be healing with very little scarring. I’m finding kittens are resilient and hardy - not that I want him to be bitten again. This antimicrobial comes in a spray bottle, but I usually place the product on a cotton ball or swab and apply, since his wounds are in his face. This container holds 3 ounces. Making him comfortable as he heals is important and I expect him to be all healed in no time, with (hopefully) no lasting effects. So far, so good.

Order the Vetericyn spray because my indoor/outdoor cat had two wounds on his forehead, one rather large, the other adjacent, smaller. Looked for something to help them heal and the reviews of this product were very positive. Used it on him one time, and he bolted. A second time we held him and after one spray he fought to get away. After that, the larger wound looked much worst. Finally determined that the spray irritated his skin so much that he rubbed it off! Now, after about a week with no spray, the small wound has healed and the larger one is looking better everyday. I wished it has worked, however, for my cat it was so painful for him that he had to get rid of it. FYI, my cat is very chill with very little that upsets him, his reaction was very impactful.
