Central Vac Hose Hanger, Wire Formed

Too small for my vacuum hose but worked well for my electric extension cord

My wife ordered one of these. I almost cancelled my order after she ordered it, because I read reviews after the fact that it's not big enough for peoples hoses. I have 3 more of these from the actual central vac company from when I originally installed my system. I compared the measurements listed with my originals. They are the same size as this companies product. They hold about 5 loops of my 30 foot hose. You just need to mount it at about waist height, and the hose hangs down just shy of the floor. These are actually a heavier guage wire than my originals as well. I also have replaced a plastic hose holder that broke in the past but have not had trouble with the wire style holders. This wire is also coated with something that looks like a gray paint where as my original wire holders are just an anodized finish. The photo shows a product similar to my originals but what I received is actually a better coating. Not sure yet how well this gray coating will wear or last yet, but it looks pretty sturdy, other than one spot that is missing the coating inside one of the screw mounting holes. No worries because it won't be seen once mounted. Overall I think these are a much better quality than the three I already have.

I was looking for a fixture to hold my vacuum hoses so they wouldn't get bent. This hangar works perfectly. It's sturdy and easy to install. I didn't have a wide enough area to wrap them around the hangar so these two hoses are draped over the top. It didn't come with wall anchors or screws, but I have plenty spare. The screw head was just large enough not to slip through the hole, but I decided to add a washer as another reviewer suggested just to be safe.

This worked well for its intended purpose - hanging a pool vacuum hose. It could have been a little taller (so it would hold more turns of the hose), but it held my hose adequately. Other reviewers have commented on the diameter of the attaching loops -- they do indeed require a washer or a large-head screw. It seems a bit flimsy before it's installed, but once installed, it's quite rigid. For the price, it did exactly what I expected it to.

I didn't install. The hose is long and way too big for this tiny hook.

This looks small when you pull it from the package. Turns out it's perfect for 4 or 5 loops of standard 2" vacuum hose. It's plenty sturdy, although you'll want to screw it into something strong because that much hose can be pretty heavy.

The only reason I put a 4 on this item instead of a 5, is because it's made of a lighter gauge of wire than the original factory hanger that came with our vacuum system. But it works just fine.You'll be happy with it, regardless of the smaller wire gauge.

This is our second hanger of this type. The other one is out in our garage and it has held up well. Item can be bent, but won't crack like a plastic one can.
