This works well with both full DE blades and half blades. With a full DE blade there is a tiny bit of blade that hangs out of the top, but I don't think it's enough to be dangerous. Mine was a little warped when I got it and I wish there was a way to cover the blade when not in use. I like to use my blades 2-3 times before replacing. It looks really cool and is super compact. Only took me 1-2 shaves to get used to the size compared to a shavette that's shaped like a traditional straight. I'll probably throw it in my travel bag since it's small, or give it to my son since it looks cool.
