Sarah Raven's Wild Flowers

The illustrations are beautiful, worth the purchase for them alone. The way they are photographed 'au naturel' also made it easier to identify individual examples. I have used it extensively to identify plants growing on an overgrown piece of land beside our house so that I can determine which ones would be nice for us to encourage. It is easy to determine similar types of flowers and know what will flourish where, if encouraged. I also was delighted to learn of many wild species, native to Britain that are often cultivated in gardens. I know I will treasure this book.

This is a well-written and beautifully-produced book, with lots of gorgeous photographs. It's not ideal as a first guide to identifying wildflowers (for one thing, it's a very heavy hardback!) but it's a terrific coffee-table book. You can leaf through it and read interesting facts about flowers you know, and find out about flowers you don't so that you're ready to look for them in the wild. A real joy for wildflower lovers.

A heavy book but beutifully illustraded and written. It is not a guide to wild flowers but mini essays on wild flowers Sarah Raven loves.A shame the print font is small.

This is an absolutely beautiful volume, lovely thick quality paper. The photos are gorgeous and the writing lively and personal in a way that keeps it interesting. Thoroughly recommended, especially as a really nice gift for someone (I, like several people who have left reviews, gave it to my Mum for Christmas, but got another for myself!)

Wonderful book!Stunning photographs by Jonathan Buckley and superbly presented information. Thank you Sarah Raven for organising the flowers in terms of colour too - So much easier to find what you are looking for! An excellent reference book as well as a joy.

I love this book it's even better than I thought it would be after ready all the reviews .The photographs and descriptions are really good and will help me with identification of the plants growing in my new garden meadow

I'm delighted that this book is so comprehensive. I also enjoy that Ms. Raven places many of the wildflower species within the context of the British traditions and culture as well as relating their relationship to cultivated garden plants. I have really enjoyed looking through it. I only wish that I had the funds to purchase a hardcover version of this amazing volume.

Tutto perfetto, il libro è arrivato molto rapidamente prima del termine indicato anche se indicato come usato è davvero in perfette condizioni, utilissimo per la identificazione delle piante spontanee e corredate dalle fotografie straordinariamente belle. Sono davvero molto soddisfatta.

Incredibly beautiful book. Jonathan Buckley's photographs are amazing. We need similar publications for regions of the United States. Amazing record of the wildflowers of the U.K.
