Pretty nice. I read other reviews and this bumper ...
Pretty nice. I read other reviews and this bumper improves the phone considerably. This is a big phone that can be very difficult to use with one hand. I have already stretched it somehow though so watch for loosening. I'm not too excited by the design, it could be a bit smaller. One peeve I have about the phone that this doesn't help at all.. is the curve of the back of the phone. This makes the phone roll laterally whenever you touch it. I fairly often use the phone while it is laying on a table but that just makes the phone wobble and is basically unusable. It seems the case could have a flatter profile on the back, making up for the unstable design. Would be four stars except I'm concerned about the longevity of the product since it has already started to loosen. I have only taken it off once.

Protection Without Sacrificing Style or Feel
I had two main criteria for selecting a case for my Moto X (2014): First, it needed to have an open back as to not cover up the look or feel of the leather backing I paid extra for, and 2.) it could not make the phone any bulkier in my hand. This product meets both of those requirements; if anything, I actually have a BETTER grip on the phone thanks in part to the subtle raised edge it creates around the back of the device. It also has the added benefit of making the power/volume buttons feel more substantial to press.I do miss the feel of the metal around the outside of the phone, but I would rather it be protected than to get dinged up in the corners when it falls to a hard surface like concrete. The phone nestles nicely in the case, which keeps the overall profile of the device low, but it does just a little bit flimsy on its own and pulls away easily from the sides. Be careful using any kind of phone mounts (e.g. car mounts that clamp the phone's sides) as it will most definitely bend. It's Made for Motorola, and the price is reflective of that, but I haven't found anything else quite like it for sale. Whether the price tag is worth it or not is up to you.

Want to love it but I can't
I really want to love this bumper case — and I do — but it's not up to par for the price. It's a simple design that does the job, and does it well, however I've had two of them break on me (in almost exactly the same place) thus can't recommend buying. So far two of these have cracked along one side, making the case not sit 100% tight against the phone. If I leave it on it's actually hard to see the crack, but it does hinder the integrity of the case.So long story short, it does work, and is a great case — but if you're unlucky enough to have one break (by taking it off too many times or hitting it the wrong way) then it's no worth the price.

Great bumper; High cost for what it is, but there is no other Moto X case like it.
I really like this case.Physical size: It's thinner than the pictures make it look. In pictures it looks quite thick (in terms of width), but it's because the edges of the case wrap around the edge of the phone -- so over width of the phone isn't increased by that much. The top and bottom of the case protrude some in the back, but it keeps the back of the phone from touching surfaces. It's also easier to use when lying on it's back, because it just rocks back and forth sideways a bit, instead of in all directions (i.e., when it's lying on a single point in the back without the case, or, in the case of many Moto X cases, with a different case).Look: It looks nice on the phone. Again, in pictures it looked a bit cheap, but on the actual phone it looks fine. The case is rubber and plastic (plastic band around the outside that holds the structure together, and rubber on the inside (which also protrudes both in front and back of the plastic band). The whole thing looks subtle and good. I purchased the solid black bumper to go with my Moto X that has a black front and turquoise back. This is the case/bumper to get if you want drop protection, but still want the back of the phone fully visible.Fit: The bumper attaches to the phone very solidly. The sides will wiggle a very small amount if your force them to, but nothing to bothers me (if it helps: I tend the be the kind of person that is very picky about such things). The buttons are molded rubber that are located in small cutouts in the plastic band of the case. They work fine. The feel of pressing them is not as nice as the phones buttons without a case, but I don't have any probably with them at all -- in fact, they are better than with several other cases I've used (including the case I liked that I used before this bumper: Supcase). One negative: Cost. I really think that ~$20 is too much for this bumper, but there isn't anything else like it. I want to say it's not worth $20, but then again, I bought it, so maybe it is. Having received it, I'm glad I bought it.Hopefully this helps anyone else looking at this bumper that was a bit frustrated that there isn't a ton of information available about it.
