Cinchona Bark Officinalis 1/2 Pound Cut

I researched many brands of cinchona bark and chose Herbal Advantage. It was the right decision, the bark is cut into almost even little squares and there was no powder in the bag. I used it along with other items to make home made Tonic water. To my uprise it came out wonderful. The Flavor was even better than the very expensive tonic water. OH and since quinine comes from this bark and it is a light beige color when made, they must somehow bleach the tonic you purchase in the store. Also there are medicinal qualities to cinchona bark so there are benefits to its use. I am very satisfied with this product will purchase again.

I am experimenting with making my own tonic water. My first go was not perfect. I will be more motivated to experiment when it warms up to Gin n Tonic weather. The product is good but I have not compared to others. I am happy with the product, price and prompt shipping.

Bought this product a few weeks ago and made 3 separate batches of tonic syrup using recipes from the internet. All were excellent! I now have friends that want to pay me to make it for them! If your tonic doesn't taste right, check your recipe. Shipping was fast and the product was excellent. I'll order again soon!

I purchased this to make my own tonics with quinine. This bark is rough cut meaning small chunks of bark that make it easier to extract the quinine.The only hassle I had was there were also a considerable amount of ground bark in mine which is troublesome as it skews the amount of bark you need and how much quinine gets absorbed into your tonic. For the cost its great, I just hope its sifted a bit more thoroughly in future.Will definitely buy again!

I use the bark and citric acid that amazon sells to make my own tonic water that way I know what is in it mainly high fructose corn syrup that is in store bought tonic water. It is nice for an occasional cocktail but plain on ice with a slice of lemon or lime in the evening helps with preventing leg cramps at night. there are recipe's on the net.

This is my second purchase of this cinchona bark. Both times it was delivered very quickly - within 3 days of purchase. I use it to make tonic water and it is incredibly delicious. I can no longer buy tonic water from the grocery store. I am ruined for life! Will definitey buy again.

Use this for making Tonic water at home. I have found this brand to give great results.

Good product, works perfect for tea and hair potion. Smell good and its strong color, it is original bark.
