So simple, yet so effective!
We ordered this when we rebuilt our pond and added a skimmer. The skimmer was sucking all of the food pellets in almost as soon as we threw them in the water. We added a sinker weight onto the unit with fishing line to keep it somewhat in one location. It took only a day for the fish to learn how to not be afraid of it, and to retrieve their food. No more pellets in the skimmer; no more waste. This is a perfect solution.

Keeps fish food from floating into the skimmer
I feed my pond gold fish "sinking" food, but it takes a while for it to sink to the bottom of the pond. This keeps the food in place and now the fish are eating what remains in the feeding station. It is great.

Works but could be bigger
The simple design works great at keeping fish food out of our skimmer but I wish it was available in a larger size. Unless you bend over it is hard to get a handful of food inside the ring without some of it blowing outside the ring. The fish adapted quickly but again the small size makes it harder for the smaller fish to get access to the pellets. If you make a bigger one I will buy it immediately.

It should work fine if you don't have large active fish
Does an acceptable job, but my large koi tend to tip it and make one side sink. Sometimes they splash it with their tails, and it half sinks and the food pellets spread all over the pond. It should work fine if you don't have large active fish.

The Laguna Floating Feeding Ring exactly what I wanted!
The Feeding Ring was an identical replacement for one I have been using in my pond for many years! The only reason I replaced it was that after long service it was floating lower and lower in the water allowing food to escape and fall to the bottom of the pond, where my fish wouldn’t find it thus wasting fish food and a little of my pond cleaning time!

Works well
Without this ring, fish food gets stuck in my floating plants and fish have a hard time getting it. Then I have a hard time netting leftover food out. I'm ordering my second ring now because it contains the food so well, making it easy for the fish to feed. It's fun to watch them come to the ring to feed too. I have a large, 300 gallon trough, and I just let the ring float freely on the surface. I do have a net over the tank so that predators can't get into it.

Works great
My koi got used to this ring really fast. It keeps the food from getting sucked into the skimmer. Definitely less waste. I would have given 5 stars but as other reviewers had mention there are sharp edges on the fins that stick out from each side. My koi haven’t gotten injured but they could and it makes no sense that they designed it like that.

Great Invention
Before I have this floating feeding station ring, I noticed the fish food were quickly spread out with the current created by the water fall. I was not sure how much fish actually got the food. Now, using this device, I observed the food waw eaten in less than 5 min by fish. As there is a divider in the ring, fish can go to different section to eat and less competitions.

Useful
This is a great product and keeps the flake in one place. It is easy to weight down, I used a small nylon string bag with marbles. There is enough space in the ring for the fish to feed and some will sink giving the bottom feeders a chance. The only issue I have, is that in their excitement some of the fish flick their tails spreading the flake anyway!!
