Great travel system very durable and affordable
I went back and forth for months trying to find the perfect travel system with the bassinet. It was between this one and a safety 1 travel system. I read reviews on both and they had of course the good ones and the bad ones but I ultimately decided to go with this one because of the color and the price. The things I love about this one1. It was a great price for everything and the color choices were great they had a lot of boys choices which it's hard to find a decent one of these days that isn't black or navy blue.2. It came fast the box was was not torn or damaged in any way and it was extremely lightweight for me being 8 months I carried it into the house.3. It was very easy for me to put together just follow the instructions and snapped everything together. I played with it for a while to figure out how everything works I have no idea what people were talking about when they said that it it was hard to put together and/or unlock the bassinet and/or the car seat. Because it is very easy I put it together in 45mins and had no problems locking and unlocking things. I've done it holding my 6yr old for practice at 32 weeks pregnant. And I have a dry high-risk and complicated pregnancy.4. Is very easy to transition from the upright to laying down position with the bassinet you just push the two buttons on the back and it goes very easily from straight up to straight down or in-between however you like it.5. Some people were complaining that the wheels would get stuck on turns or it's a little too big for the house it fits perfectly in my house it's not that big take the bassinet and everything off and just put it down and is very slim and lightweight and easy to maneuver I took it up and down my street to test the wheel s in which I live on the very Rocky dirt road and had no problems. Walking the 500 ft to my mailbox. My 6yr old weighing approximately 52 lb fit in the bassinet seat and it held him just fine as I pushed him up the street for weight stress and distribution. And it was not very hard to push or heavy resistance. It held up great. I'm very happy that I decided to get this travel system it's very simple it holds a lot. . I would definitely recommend this for anybody who's looking for a pram type bassinet stroller it is definitely the more affordable option. Also the cup holders are very sturdy I don't know who said they won't hold a lot but they held my heavy duty metal 24 oz full Dunkin Donuts cup very well. So I'm pretty sure a bottle or a travel mug will fit great.

Well priced for what you get
I was so excited to try this travel system. Without taking it out of the box, I loved that the seat can be converted from a seat to a bassinet because with a newborn (or in my case a newborn and a toddler) the less clutter the better. To assemble this took me about 30 minutes and was a little cumbersome but manageable. My main issue was in turning around the seat from forward to parent facing as the parts of the seat that cOnnect to the stroller frame could easily slip and not be installed correctly.I walked around with my newborn (2 months) in this in the bassinet setting and he was content. I liked that the canopy could be extended further down to keep the sun out of his eyes. However I wish that there was a way to tuck the seat belt somewhere since it seemed a bit uncomfortable for him to be in it. Also, the bassinet recline jiggled a bit and I wish it was more secure in 1 position do I didn’t have to worry about my newborn getting bounced around so much. I likely will not be using the bassinet setting for itI also had my toddler in it (2.5 years, 36” and 28 lb. the seat was a bit short for her however she is very tall for her age. She was comfortable in it without the canopy up, however had no place to put her snacks. The basket was a decent size for my diaper bag and a blanket. The cup holders are great and I love that there are two, however the handles didn’t seem too sturdy and looked as though it could easily break with my diaper bag hanging off if it.The brakes were simple enough to use, however one of the sides made a light click even though it wasn’t locked. The food was simple and extremely easy to do 1 handed. This is a stroller for my mom (who takes care of our kids while we are at work) to use and it is a good weight for her to be able to lug around easily. The car seat base was easy to install in the car, however my son didn’t seem too comfortable in the car seat.Overall for the price of 299.99, this car seat is worth its value. In comparison to my click connect system; I like the car seat of the RIVA better and the different configurations available for the stroller; however I feel as though the Graco is a bit more sturdy

PROS and CONS - decent price for a decent system!
I was looking forward to trying out the new Safety 1st RIVA 6-in-1 Flex Modular Travel System. My child is 3 1/2 months old, she is 26 inches long and weighs about 12 pounds and I can honestly say that it was a good purchase!I was most excited about the infant carrier which is lightweight (7.5lbs). I installed the base in my car, and have used the carrier every day for over a week now for daycare drop-off, pick-up and grocery trips.PROS: lightweight, washable fabric (spit-up is a definite with my child), and sturdy carrying bar. The canopy on the carrier is very nice, and shaded her well.CONS: Rough plastic (I knicked myself installing it) and the bottom buckle strap is far too short. I examined it quite thoroughly underneath, and was disappointed. The two plastic pieces attached to the metal that clips into the buckle press and rub on her legs. They left some red marks which I am very concerned about.Stroller: It was fairly easy to put the stroller together, and the carrier attached well. It is easy to open and close, and stores in my trunk and hallway well. I like that the seat and the carrier can be forward facing as well as rear facing. Also, I am 6'0 tall and found the stroller easy to push, without having to bend over to reach the handlebar.Overall comments.....I would recommend this for a budget purchase, with light use. I don't think it is intended for heavy-duty use (jogging). I like the color, and the washable fabric. I also liked the extra seat option for when my daughter is older and can sit upright. I intend to gift this stroller to my Grandparents for her to use when visiting them.
