I was super excited to find that this frame came a full 8 days earlier than expected! It was packaged well, so there was no damage to the piece (no cracks in the corners as some of the other buyers have experienced). I love the thickness and finish of the piece, it is perfect for beefing up the visual impact of a medium (18x24) sized piece. I will probably order several more in different sizes for other spots around the house. Great value for quality, in my opinion.

Good frames are expensive, however when framing a good piece of art, you need a good frame. I have used this frame with water colors and oils and the painting looks good in them. A frame not only protects the art, it should compliment the art work. I never frame a piece to match my household, I frame a piece to accent the art. And one of the most important things is, this frame is a lot cheaper than the custom frames out there and comes to you a lot sooner.

I had to return the first frame that I received because it was covered in dust. It came in a box so I assumed it was used the second one I received was better but still had dust. I have a questions, how does a frame that is in a bubble wrap enveloped in a box get dusty? Anyway after I cleaned it, it was very beautiful. So sturdy and heavy.

The black color with the gold highlight allows the rich colors of the painting stand out.
