CABLE IS NOT CONSTANT WATTAGE it has a thermostat one the end of it. After it didnt come on I decided to rip the coating off the end and it revealed a 10 degree celcius thermostat. I did crimp a wire connector to the end after removing the thermostat and made it constant wattage myself.

No more frozen pipe
No more frozen drain pipe. My furnace is in the attic and the drain pan pipe freezes up and the back up in the pan causes furnace to shut down. My husband attached the wire with special tape recommended by plumber. We have it plugged in on a power strip so we just need to flip the switch as needed. Our pipe is PVC so we were told not to leave on 24/7, only with a copper pipe can it be left on.

It is not recommended for pvc piping that does not have water in ...
This helped with a recent cold snap and has kept my pipes from freezing. It is not recommended for pvc piping that does not have water in it all the time so I monitor when I use it.
