Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction, Vol. 6 (6)

Continues being great.
This is a great series and really surprised there ain't more buzz about it. Asano's art is always lovely, quirky. We get to see more of the spacecraft debacle with more of the aliens' POV here. Really interesting. Dives a bit more into the political and sociological than previous volumes, but keeps it pretty grounded and lazer-focused on characters and intimate moments of sociality than anything.

Coming to A Head, The End is Imminent
At this point, readers will know of the foreboding message established 3 volumes prior and this issue certainly established the sensation of the audience and characters reaching the calm before the storm without a doubt. With numerous mistakes to be made, certain storylines framed to close and people within the narrative we may have loved suddenly taking concerning swerves in motivation or direction that while intense and unsettling still are believable, things are looking like they will reach an explosive finale...As to what comes next, I have no clue and eagerly anticipate seeing through to the end. Whether everyone's days are numbered or if it's merely the start of a new arc, I welcome either way, as the complacent and normal atmosphere within Dead Demon has been worth the price of admission alone. Asano's commitment to realism is impeccable and extremely admirable, a tale I wish I could have been the one to tell.
