RockportMen's Darwyn Xband Slide

These are thick with padding which makes for a very comfortable slip on leather sandal. I have the dark brown and I wear them all the time. Love them.

These things are actually almost perfect for me. They replace Vionics-brand slides I have been wearing, my final pair of the three pairs of this now discontinued item I bought now having given up the ghost. I specifically bought these and those because of the bold/broad cross band design. I like this design because I know from years of past experience that this design is excellent for all day, do anything, wear. (I know this because I literally climbed a mountain in Asia while wearing an foam rubber pair of this design years ago when I wore this style for everything, obviously).It is surprisingly difficult to find a pair like this that has the cross band design that doesn't also look like a pair of clown shoes emblazoned with trademark paraphernalia. Yes, this pair does have the Rockport symbol on its strap but it is mercifully small and unobtrusive.So, on style and design, this pair is right on point. The only other things one needs worry about is fit and wear. I admit to having reservations about the puffy, nylon foot bed. My fear was/is in two parts: A) the puffy bed would be slippery and not well-suited to long and hard use, including running or jogging. I am happy to report that I have made multiple extended walks amounting to miles of foot padding and these do work well for this application. They do not, however, run well causing one to have to scrunch one's toes to keep them in place. Having said that, I realize that most people do not buy these to go running in so I will table that complaint.B) I feared the slick nylon footbed would become sweaty and smelly from retained foot fluid and accumulated foot grime; many other slides and slippers having a rubbery or nylon foot bed that works as a solid surface. I am happy to report that these slides don't cause one to generate excessive foot sweat and they have remained remarkably fresh looking even as I use them more and more.I am very, very pleased with this pair of sandals and will definitely buy another pair when these wear out. Plus I recommend them to every one.

Very comfortable

Bad fit. Straps don’t hold feet comfortably. The shoes end up twisted a bit. My heel slides over the inside edge of the sole because the straps don’t hold my feet properly.

I do not know why it is so difficult to find nice sandals for men in the US, you basically have 2 choices: flip-flops or boring plastic SPA sandals. I do like leather sandals and the last pair I bought made in China did not last very long so when I saw those were made in the USA, I jumped on it. Even with already 1 size and ½ above my size, they do fit quite small, not too small but too snug for sandals with the heel being at the edge on the back. They do feel comfortable for now, time only can tell how long they will stand.

I originally ordered this in a size 10 and my husband found it very uncomfortable due to the stitching on the inside. I exchanged it for a size 10W because the quality of the sandal was so good. He absolutely loved the 2nd pair. The exchange was super easy. I couldn't find anything locally-I normally do not purchase footwear online because of the high probability of having to return. I am very glad that I took the chance.

I normally buy my summer sandals from Mark's or other places here in Canada because I know I'm going to be wearing them pretty much every day in the summer when I'm walking on sidewalks or when I'm at the beach. I normally only get one season out of them, but I saw these sandals from Rockport and the price was excellent because they were listed in Amazon warehouse at a greatly reduced price. I bought them and I have to say these are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. it's almost like I'm walking on a cloud because of all the cushioning in the soul of the sandals and they fit my size 12 feet perfectly. Plus they look great.

Bastante buenas sandalias, se ven muy casuales y son de buen material, me sorprendio el memory foam y lo bien que se sienten al usarlas, se ven bastante resistentes y tienen buenas costuras, todo es de cuero, solo la suela sintetica, en general bastante buenas.
