The Medal is an exceptional book about love & hope . I could not put the book down, I needed to find out what was going to happen to the characters I had just met and already empathized with. The author does an excellent job of making you feel the range of emotions of the main character, Bethany. She is like all of us -strong but weak, sure but doubtful, solitary but needing comfort. By struggling with her faith and believing in her "angel" and Padre Pio, Bethany finds the inner peace she needs and deserves. It shows that in our darkest times we are not alone. We just need to have faith and believe in the unbelievable. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it.

THE MEDAL is a wonderful book for all ages and all faiths. All of us have had occasions in our lives when we really questioned the existence of God or why a deaf ear was turned on our prayers and needs. The reader can relate to Bethany's difficulties and doubts and actually sit down and cry with her. THE MEDAL is well written and easy to read. Bethany's road back to her heartfelt beliefs and faith is a reading experience that will draw on all your emotions. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book immensely. This story brought tears to my eyes; I was not expecting to feel what I did after reading this beautiful story. I knew very little about Padre Pio before reading this book, I now understand why so many of my family members pray to Padre Pio. The author did a wonderful job incorporating a beautiful story with her faith. I do not usually read books related to religion, but I couldn't put this one down. Amazing work.

Before you pick up "The Medal" make sure you have a day put aside. Once you start to read it you will not be able to put it down. A must read for anyone that has lost their faith. It has sent healing to many family members and friends whom received this book as gifts from myself. "The Medal" has been chosen to spread the word of Padre Pio and the power of love.

I enjoyed the story, it was inspirational, and uplifting. My only complaint would be I felt like the author took the adage, "Paint a picture with your words" a little too seriously. There were a bit too many adjectives.

The struggles of a caregiver are hard to capture. K F Brosky succeeds. While catholic in tone, the novel speaks to anyone seeking that space between what we see before us and what we know is also present beyond our sight.

Some New Age elements in the writing, which does taint the story. Some nice aspects too, but the New Age type stuff is a forced overlay and I did not like that at all.
