Essential RV accessory - protects your plumbing
This Camco brass water pressure regulator with gauge is an absolute must-have for RV owners. The built-in gauge lets you see exactly what pressure you're dealing with at each campsite, which is invaluable. Some campgrounds have dangerously high water pressure that can damage RV plumbing, and this regulator protects against that. The all-brass construction is qualityโno cheap plastic components that'll crack or fail. It feels substantial and well-made. The threads are clean and seal properly without leaks. The gauge is easy to read and appears to be accurate based on comparing it to other pressure measurements. The regulator does its job perfectly, limiting incoming pressure to safe levels for RV systems. I've hooked up to campground water supplies ranging from weak to excessively high pressure, and this regulator handles it all. No more worrying about blown fittings or damaged water lines. Installation is simpleโjust thread it onto the campground spigot before connecting your water hose. The compact size doesn't add much bulk to your setup. Easy to store when not in use. This inexpensive part can save you from expensive plumbing repairs. Every RV owner should have one of these in their setup.

Not "like new" (update)
I purchased a "like new" item so I could live to shop another day, but the item I received was not "like new." The regulator had rust throughout, the rubber seals were questionable, and the gauge itself was missing a cover and bent. I will return, buy a "new" version, and will update my review. **Update I purchased a 'new' version of this after returning the 'like new version. It works very well. The gauge told me everything I needed to know and I was confident on the pressure coming into my camper. Updated from 3 stars to 4.

Must have for RVers
There are pressure reducing valves everywhere but this one with the gauge makes a HUGE difference. I arrived at a campground and after hooking up found that I had low pressure inside my RV. I was able to check the pressure at the post without disconnecting anything and found that there was low pressure at the post. I learned that during certain times of day, the campground pressure dips. This device allowed me to check water pressure BEFORE I got into the shower to ensure I would have adequate pressure. Not sure why anyone would buy a pressure reducer WITHOUT a gauge. This is my second time buying one of these. My first one lasted five years before the gauge broke. Would have no problem buying another in five more years!

Not the most accurate, but you decide if it is right for you...
NOT ACCURATE. 35 PSI was the most it let through. I checked it with another gauge. (That one is accurate. Our house is regulated at the water meter for 60 PSI. This gauge reads the house at 60.) I will be returning the Camco. PROS: * Small footprint. MUCH less bulky than the adjustable ones * Nice fit and finish on the brass parts * "Tabbed" hose collar makes it easy to install/remove from a source CONS: * Gauge lens is plastic, so be careful with it, though that's probably the case with most RV regulators. This one "feels" more fragile than other ones I've had. * Apparently, ours is only "preset" to in the high 30's PSI. The needle barely gets out of the yellow, and the pressure in our RV is noticeably lower than with an old adjustable regulator, set to 50 PSI. Something closer to 45 PSI would be nice. "MEHS" * Tri-color gauge is easy to read, but it would be nice if it had numbers. Since the unit is marked "40 - 50 PSI", I'm assuming that's the range of the green bar. * Tabbed collar makes it easier for a "Campground-klepto" to take it This regulator has its pro's and con's, but a regulator of some kind is a necessary item. If you don't care about lower pressure, at least this should prevent damage.

Brass regulator
I really like how easy it is to read the regulator and to ensure that I am not damaging the RV pipes. I know there are folks who will say that they have never used one in all the years they have been camping. This is true, but it only takes that one time. Better to be safe than sorry. Great product and solidly built, highly recommended.

Good value
Overall I liked it, seems good quality - time will tell. I would like to have had some information with it as what pressure range is in the low/good/high ranges.

Travel Trailer peace of mind
Useful addition to water system. I was surprised at the first location we used it how low the pressure was. Being able to see the pressure build as you open the tap is a good way to know when to stop and restrict the pressure to the onboard plastic pipe system.
