Sort of worked for me, but returned them
To summarize, if you are affected by color blindness enough that it bothers you or impacts you on a regular basis, I would recommend trying the EnChroma glasses to see if they make a difference. They may not do enough for you to justify the price, but with a 30 day money back guarantee, it's worth it to try them. Background: I took the color blindness test on EnChroma's website a few times and was deemed a "moderate deutan" -- moderate red-green deficiency. Personally I describe myself as affected most by red-green, but also have some trouble distinguishing similar shades/tones of other colors, and generally get the sense that I perceive far fewer colors than others.Usage: I wear sunglasses very frequently when outside or driving so I thought the EnChroma glasses would be worth a try. I wore them on several occasions and did my best to follow their recommended usage -- wear them for a while to let your vision adjust and don't flip the glasses up and down to see if there is a difference. The lighting conditions during a few of my tests of the glasses were a bit on the cloudy / partly cloudy side. EnChroma says results are more dramatic in bright lighting conditions. I did wear them once in very full sun and did not think that the results were dramatically different. But that's not to say they wouldn't be for others. The results: You will definitely notice an effect right when you put the glasses on. At first they give everything a very slight rose-colored hue, and within a short time things seem to 'pop' a fair amount. It's kind of like turning up the saturation on an image and making everything more vivid. Did it correct my color deficiencies? Maybe a little. I did take notice of colors more than I normally do, but that could have just been because it was early spring (flowers starting to bloom) and I was hyper focused on evaluating the glasses. I did not notice a significant difference in my ability to differentiate colors, especially when looking at things that were far away (example: being able to name the colors of a rack of kayaks in the distance). My primary goal with the glasses was to fix the differentiation problem, which didn't get solved enough for me to warrant the cost of the glasses. If there had been a strong improvement I would have bought them through EnChroma directly because the price is much lower than on Amazon. My only gripe with the product itself is that the case is almost too small for the size of the glasses. The case needs to be a little bit longer and wider to accommodate the outer envelope of the folded glasses. I was afraid I was going to snap it shut on them every time I put them away.I'm not sure why some other choose to give this product 1 star when it didn't work well for them (as it did not for me). The glasses are well constructed and there is definitely some effect no matter who is wearing them (I had a couple of non-CVD people try them). EnChroma is also very clear in their literature that the glasses have varying degrees of effectiveness for each user, and there is a no questions asked 30 day trial period. Hard to complain about that!I hope that these glasses make an improvement on the lives of others who try them, and that EnChroma continues to advance its technology so that it may prove better for me in the future.

I have the worst type of Red/Green and of course Blue/what ever its called. They said they probably wouldn't work but to try them. I gave them a shot, and they did not work for me. This was expected but I tried and they helped. I returned them. I hope they keep trying to cure it.

Absoultely recommended!
After nearly 50-years of blue-green colorblindness, these glasses are a godsend. While they don't necessarily allow me to see colors that I had never seen before, they do make the world look so much more vibrant. Reds, greens, and blues, in particular, really "pop" in a way that I have never seen before, particularly on a sunny day. It was a little startling at first. My family laughed at my excitement. While this isn't a "cure" for color-blindness, it is the next best thing. Imagine seeing the world with a whole level of color intensity than you have ever experienced before. Putting these glasses on is like being Dorothy leaving her house when she landed in Oz - "Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."

What a colourful world we live in!.....now!
From about age 5 I have always known that I am colour blind. If I got a dollar for every time I was asked what colour something was or what colour I see I could have retired a long time ago. Im now 28 and what a difference the EnChroma glasses make to my ability to see colour and my over all concept of colour. I am a mild to strong deutan and really struggle with red/green/brown differentiation and also to a lesser degree yellow/orange blue/purple. The first time I tried these glasses on i was in the forest and I have to say after about 15 or so minutes of getting used to them WOW what a difference. Staring at the forest floor and seeing the difference in foliage colour scattered across the ground took some getting used to. A tree had always been brown to me but not anymore. Over summer wearing them a lot I really got used to having what I liken to going from normal to HD vision. The depth and clarity of the colours I have been seeing for the first times is impressive. I was asked by a friend why I was staring at a stop sign. I had literally been in awe over the depth of red i could see and the thought of how everyone else saw this normally. Style wise the glasses for me are spot on and extremely comfortable to wear, they feel like a strong high quality product. A lot of my friends who are not colour blind try them on and also think it helps with their clarity of colour. This is a truly unique product and would highly recommend them to anyone with a colour vision deficiency. If you are debating whether to try these and if they would make a difference they definitely work and open up a whole new world of colour!

Incredible Cure for my colorblindness
I bought a pair of Cx Explorers after seeing David Pogue's review in the NY Times. My experience "mirrored" his completely. I'm Red/Green/Brown Colorblind--- or at least I was, til I put on the glasses. I'm a 54-year old guy and found myself giggling constantly for the first couple of weeks: The color of bricks, the color of natural wood on our deck, and especially green lights at intersections all made me giggle out loud like a school kid. The glasses really do "cure" my colorblindness. My only complaint is that after 3 months and I've yet to see a rainbow in the sky.BTW Enchroma's customer support is incredible.
