I bought these starter earrings after my daughter had her ears pierced in a mall store. They used regular earrings with regular backs that ended up with the 'jewel' & earring back sliding too close to one another while she slept. She woke up in pain with a bloody ear as the 'jewel' had gotten lodged inside her earlobe. It was hard to remove since I could not grab hold of both the jewel & earring back & pull in opposite directions. She was crying, bleeding, & scared -- it made for a miserable start to that Thanksgiving morning. I couldn't believe they did not use starter earrings on her! I ended up ordering these & could not have been more pleased! They are perfect: Nice thick posts, earring backs that click into place & don't push in any further, sterile, & hypoallergenic. Yeah, the backs are a tad harder to remove, but I consider that a bonus (!) because you never have to worry that the backs might fall off as you go through the day. I bought them for my daughter but use a pair myself which I almost never take out. They are comfortable to sleep in. I have given away one of the pairs to a friend who had her daughters ears pierced & had issues. I told her these earrings were the way to go! My daughter has since gotten a few more ear piercings, so it's time for me to reorder without any hesitation. I highly recommend them! They came quickly & were well packaged. I love that they are sterilized & marked with the date that the sterilization remains effective, which is several years out. There was a nice note & extra earring backs -- though I will likely never need them, it's nice to be safe than sorry! If you need great starter earrings or just quality small studs, these are my recommendation. They aren't exactly super fancy, which is why I gave them a 4 for "giftable," but they are quality at a decent price & I had no problem giving them to a friend in need!

Like these very much, they replaced ones that I had in the past. Very comfortable and a good price.Hypoallergenic too, good thing if that is needed. Great as gifts for girls and women and can mix and match them too. These are good quality and highly recommend them for people who have allergy concerns, dont need to worry about that. Nice thick starter earrings. This is what you got if your ears were pierced in the 70s and 80s. I had no trouble with the backs.

I have been looking for this type earrings for years. They are like the ones I got when I had my ears pierced over 30 years ago. Seem like great quality. Look better than I thought they would and the back will not come off easily or stick your head when sleeping. Great for younger kids.

I wanted to replace the earrings that I lost, a few years after my ears were pierced. I bought this set, but the backs are so hard to get on the posts. Just wondering if anyone else had the same trouble.

I ordered these because my ear piercings had started to close over, and these earrings have thick posts (not too long) and locking backs, so they are comfortable and secure to wear at night - just like my original piercing earrings that were lost a long time ago. Uncomfortable at first, of course, but that soon wore off. Best thing about these earrings is the “Made in USA” stamp on the box.

I dont know if my body chemistry changed or what but when I bought them back in 2020 I wrote that they gave me an infection, but when I just recently used an unopened pair a week or so ago (2024), they have not gave me an infection at all. My ears arent even bleeding or sore n i just used these earrings when my husband repierced my ears. They were still sterile after all these years too which is pretty cool. In 2020, I didnt recommend them but in 2024, I really recommend them lol

The only earrings my 2yo didn't have any skin reaction when wearing it. It is also short and not thin. Hence it doesn't poke her skin behind the ears. Love it!
