My dog LOVES these, but don't expect days of use for tough chewers
My 14-year-old Catahoula / Blue Heeler mix is an old girl with a ton of nervous energy and a seriously strong bite, so we try to offer her long-lasting chew toys and treats that will keep her occupied in anxiety-inducing situations. We got one of the refillable Everlasting Treat balls on a whim and were suprised by quite how enthusiastically she took to it. Before we knew it, we ran out of refills, and looked for bulk options to save a little money. We were glad to find this listing so we could stock up without spending a fortune. Most importantly, our dog absolutely loves these. She obsessively gnaws at them for as long as you let her. However, they definitely don't last as long as advertised for a really determined chewer like ours. They'll keep her occupied for an afternoon, and she will continue to mournfully gnaw the now-empty ball for a day or two, but the treats themselves are gone in a few hours. This means that she can't be continually occupied by the treat ball every day, as I cannot allow her to gobble these down too frequently or she gets internal blockage. I also have to put them in the toy backwards (texture side facing in, smooth side out) if I don't want her to pop out the treat and try to swallow it whole. Pro tip! If you're struggling to get the treat in the ball, the manufacturer guidance to wet the treat first really helps. One unexpected downside is that our dog gets really, really protective of this toy, so she cannot be allowed to chew it with other animals in her vicinity or she will aggressively resource-guard and it has led to conflict between our pets.We will continue to give these as occasional distracting treats and are grateful for finding something that our old girl enjoys so much, but we can neither afford nor allow her to consume them at the rate she gnaws through the refills. Just keep that in mind when purchasing! These bulk packs do save a pretty penny, though.

The media could not be loaded. My 75 lb Doberman loves these in the hickory smoke flavor. I put them into his large ever last treat dispenser and it lasts him all day. He spends the better part of an hour just trying to get the treat out of the dispenser, before resigning himself to gnawing on the treat instead. The treat does have a hickory scent- but not overly powering. It does not stain fabric. My dog digest it easily.I’ve purchased these many times and will continue to do so.
