Excellent Hardware, Mediocre Software, Bad Instructions
Every visible component is well built using high quality materials. The various mounting options are thoughtfully designed. The monitor case feels solid and it snaps in the receptacles with a confidence inspiring “click”. In short, the hardware is well beyond my expectations. My initial impression on the software was also positive. First of all, no pairing was needed. The monitor recognised the valve caps as soon as I switched it ON. The alarm for low pressure (actually zero pressure since the caps were at my hand) stopped as soon as I put the caps on the valves. The monitor indicated what appeared to be the correct pressures for both tires according to my expensive digital tire pressure gauge and the correct temperature (the same for both tires) according to my trusted garage thermometer. So far so good but the instructions are terrible. I had a hard time figuring out how to adjust it for pressure readings in psi and temp readings in Celsius. Then, I had a harder time altering the high pressure alarm setting. I finally managed to do so but the process was extremely frustrating due to very poor instructions.Nevertheless, I now have everything set up for my needs. The screen is reasonably visible at daytime with some limitations depending on the angle of direct sunlight. This gets much better at night, without being too bright. Frankly, I was not expecting a light sensitive screen so visibility is OK for me. The monitor’s battery seems to last very long. I did not recharge it for more than two months (since the initial charge) and it still indicates 3 of 3 bars full. BTW, the screen shifts to standby within ten minutes or so and wakes up at the slightest movement but I always turn the unit completely OFF at the end of every riding day to save battery power. It appears that it can handle reasonably long journeys with a full charge but I did not try this yet. Needless to say, I keep the supplied USB charging cord on the bike, not at the garage. The problem with the software is that the readings are not always real time. I do not mean the inevitable delay until the valve cap sensors send signal after a long stop. They do start sending signal once the bike moves but sometimes this takes longer than it takes other times. Eventually, the monitor starts showing the new values instead of keeping showing the last ones before the stop but this transition does not happen in a consistent manner. Once this happens, subsequent readings are not always updated consistently, either. It may keep showing 43 psi for my rear tire for a long time and then, all of a sudden; skip to 48 psi without showing the incremental increase in between. Sometimes, it does show the variations of one psi. That is; I could not yet catch a trend regarding how much incremental variation it will ignore and when it will do so.All in all, this TPMS is better than my old single AAA battery powered unit that quit working after four years. I hope this one lasts longer. I deduct one star for the poor instructions and one for inconsistent behaviour but I add one for the excellent hardware.

Best accessory for any motorcycle under $100
Edit: I found the installation instructions, tucked into the box, under the plastic box insert. If you're wondering what to do with the supplied nuts and mini-wrench, it's for tightening the nut against the sensor on the valve stem to ensure it won't come loose. This unit comes with several mounting options. I chose to use the supplied 3M double sided sticker to adhere the unit to a place on my gauge cluster where there was room to install it without obscuring anything else. If you have standard bars on your bike there is a bar mount also. 5 stars for now. Accuracy is spot on perfect. If I have any failures with this unit within the next year I will report back. Bright sunlight readable display! That's a must for me. Batteries are replaceable. Comes with a USB charging cord. It also has a nice auto-off function and turns back on when it senses movement. For the money I'm very impressed and consider this a must-have safety item for any motorcyclist. Edit: After a long, 1150 mile ride to Vegas and back, the unit did not need to be recharged on the way there. As I left for the return home, the unit was dead because I failed to recharge it. Once home, I recharged the unit but it would not "read" the sensors until I disconnected and reconnected the sensors on the bike. Also, I'm going to purchase spare sensor batteries. They are CR1225. See photos. Final tip: Keep the sensor wrench with you on your bike. If you don't have that it will be very hard to refill tires with air.Edit (again): I'm getting to know this unit a little better. One issue is that I can't get the unit to read in Fahrenheit but only Celsius for temps. This is a non-issue for me. I don't think it can be switched to Fahrenheit at all. And here's an important addition to my notes on this unit: Do not trust the displayed readings at start up or if you're just "bumped" the bike to get the unit's display to wake up. This unit requires the wheels to be in motion to display an accurate number. It may read 42/42 first thing in the morning. Then, after startup it'll read a corrected figure. The tires need to be rotating to trust the display. Still, this unit scores a perfect rating with me. EDIT: 6/26/2022. Unit still works great and has already saved my bacon. I saw rapid air loss on my back tire using this unit...got pulled into a parking lot to find a screw in my back tire. Got it plugged and was back on the road in no time. Who's to say how long I would have ridden on that tire if this unit had not notified me so fast? I'm a believer in these things. Keep some spare batteries for the sensors. This thing has already paid for itself.
