what is the difference between this one and the older version?

This one is designed to be used on slightly damp hair or dry hair. The old one wasn’t marketed this way and I’m not sure there’s a difference. I do think my original one worked better but I don’t know if it’s the difference of the wet/dry model or if something else changed in the 6 or 7 years I had my old one. To be clear...this one works fine, I just loved my original so much!
