I recently installed the Dynasty Hardware 8500 Series Door Closer, and it's performing great. This is a heavy-duty hydraulic closer that feels very solid. The adjustable size 1-6 spring is a huge plus, allowing me to fine-tune the closing speed perfectly for our needs. It meets ADA standards, which was important to me. The sprayed aluminum finish looks clean and professional. Overall, it's a very reliable door closer that does exactly what it's supposed to do. Recommended for anyone needing a robust and customizable closing solution.

I really wish I had ordered this 5 years ago. I've had issues with my storm door closing fully because of an air suction issue between it and the main door. It was using the normal top and bottom residential type closers, but they were not strong enough to overcome the suction. It would never latch all the way, and if the other door was open it would slam. This commercial closer has solved every one of these problems. There were some other reviewers saying that it makes the door too hard to push open, they must not have read the directions, there is a hex nut that you turn in order to adjust the spring tension, this makes the door easier to open if you adjust it. There are 4 hex nuts for adjustment, one side has S for sweep (how fast the door closes) L for Latch which is how fast it closes for the last couple inches to latch, on the opposite side it is the hex nut to adjust the spring tension (force needed to push the door open) and on top is the back check hex nut, which prevents it from swinging open too fast and hitting walls. These all have to be potentially adjusted to fit your specific door situation. I still can't believe my storm door actually shuts and latches every time now, it's like I'm living in a whole new world.

Product as advertised. Installed like any other commercial closer with included hardware. Time will tell for durability but otherwise good.

Good closer products are of good sturdy metal products. The adjustment screws really seem like they wont leak because of the feel they have when turning them. Now to see how long they last.

So far so good. It’s installed on a high traffic business and has been working great for the last few months. No more slamming door

The product is well made and very heavy duty. It will fit many types of doors which is great, but makes for some complicated reading before trying to install the unit. Once you figure out which part of the instructions matches your type of door, the installation is fairly straight forward. There are multiple adjustments possible unfortunately without a discussion of what they do. Seems to be made for professional contractors who already know how to install. It looks and feels like it will last forever so I give it 5 stars.
