As a result, the West revision was delayed for 6 years while a team of four other historians worked on the research. They have done a fine job of completing Nicholas' work - the photos included are great quality, and the coverage of the county is exhaustive. My only gripe is that I received my copy with a dent in the top of the thick spine. Overall a fantastic purchase if you're interested in Sussex history and architecture. A fantastic purchase if interested in Sussex history
A perfect companion to the already available Sussex East. The author of these revised editions, Nicholas Antram, died before even East was completed. As a result, the West revision was delayed for 6 years while a team of four other historians worked on the research. They have done a fine job of completing Nicholas' work - the photos included are great quality, and the coverage of the county is exhaustive. My only gripe is that I received my copy with a dent in the top of the thick spine. Overall a fantastic purchase if you're interested in Sussex history and architecture.
