Must have for waxing nordic skis
Simple set-up. Holds ski securely. Will likely buy a second to speed up waxing process.

Exactly what we were looking for!
I purchased these for my daughter and me to wax our skis. Easily adaptable to set-up in a variety of ways. They work great and are much cheaper then similar items from big name brands.

Fantastic vise for XC skis
I have used this vise to wax my racing xc skis and this vise did great job at securing the skis for each stage of the the full cycle of the job - applying melted wax, rough scraping off, groove cleaning, fine scrape off, and brushing. It is a very compact set and can be mounted on many indoor and outdoor tables and desks. The parts of the wise that come in contact with the top of the table have non skid non marking rubber padding that adds to the secure fit of the installation. Really love it.

Work well, good value
I first purchased a "universal" vise set, which did not work for my skinny skate skis. These work well. A little finicky to set up and clamp, but good enough for using a couple times a season.

Not metal but so what?
Very compact, light weight XC-only vise and clamps. Assembles and adjusts easily. Only for certain binding types, however. Might have to drag out the C-clamps for the waxables though since I'm still using three-pin Rottefellas on the ol' (real ol') ST99 Europas.

Stable and portable vise system.
It's an stable, small, portable way to wax XC skis. I bring these along with a folding sawhorse and can tune skis pretty much anywhere.

Fantastic for seasonal waxing
This is great for being able to clamp to a workbench in the winter to wax or just apply glide to XC skis, then easily packs away the rest of the year.

Great XC-ski vise
The Tools4Boards vise is really a great device. I was first introduced to it at a State HS Nordic Championship Meet, where I split the responsibility for waxing 20 pairs of classic skis and 20 pairs of freestyle skis. I found that I could quickly slap a ski onto the center post, clip it in, and then ratchet the center post down easily to hold the ski tight...tight enough for me to really bear down with a cork or rotobrush. I had to have one for my bench at home!n.b.: you can't use it for rilling skis - it allows too much flex for that.

Really liking them so far.
I am giving it a 5 star rating for now as I set it up and seems very sturdy, and a good base for working on my skis at a very reasonable price. But a note for other potential purchasers, the old Soloman SNS Profile bindings are a little finicky to hook up to the middle clamp. Not impossible though. The rubber flex insert interferes a little with getting the bar into the binding. These bindings are not made anymore, but I have them on an old pair of skis that are still very fast. The newer Rossignol Race bindings that are on my new skis fit easily though. Other clamp systems may have the same issue though since they would be made for newer bindings.Update: Have had this set for a couple of weeks now and very pleased with them. They make waxing, scraping, brushing, and structuring much easier than my old two clamp system. One reviewer said they were not sturdy enough to put rills in the skis. But I have been putting a broken V structure in my skis with no issue. I find them plenty sturdy enough.

Nice for the price
Was thinking about making a diy ski vise but for the price figured this would be a better alternative. I set it up on my miter stand that I have in my shed minus the miter saw, using the kitchen dining room table to wax my skies would of probably not gone well with the better half. Held the cross-country ski nice and secure when finishing the surface

Great set up for the cost.
The entire set up attached to my work bench with no problems. The binding attachment is adjustable which is nice for multiple length skis. Under normal wear and tear I think the product should hold up but there is some flex to the plastic, it doesn't seem super tough. Either way, it's half the cost of a Swix/Toko product. I'd recommend it.

Not meant for snowboards
I was hoping that this could be used for snowboards as well, but I was wrong. The stands weren't high enough to clear my bindings and had to add risers. After locking them in the stands were too flimsy that the weight of the board kept tilting the stands. Do not buy for snowboards!
