This thing is rock solid, and the mounting bracket is sturdy. I wanted a black shelf but all the black ones available were cheap and plastic coated, with cheap hardware. I bought this one because of all the positive reviews and also that someone had mentioned it was easy to refinish (wouldn't have thought of that by myself). It's a nice looking shelf as is with a nice finish if you are looking for a honey oak finish. Highly recommend.

This shelf is very easy to install, looks great, & is very sturdy. I have used other floating shelves before, & most are not very secure. I purchased this one to hold an expensive piece of artwork that is a little heavy. Not only does it look good with the piece, I don't have to worry about it falling off the wall.

Bought two of these to install above the toilet in my bathroom. Shelves were great, but the screw mounts for the wall were not large enough to support the shelves adequately enough. Plus the instructions called for a specific size drill bit. Turned out that size bit was too large for the hardware provided. I bought my own hardware and the shelves are now well supported and look nice.

This is a nice solid wood shelf and a modern version of the "shop" made floating shelf by using metal instead of wood in the hollow cavity. It installs easily like a floating shelf should and is flush to wall, unlike some of the others that use a clamp or wall claws; my MAIN reason for buying it. It saved me the building time and supplies that would be required to make just one floating shelf from scratch. I went with lighter color as I wanted to restain it to match a cabinet which you can do easily with solid wood.

This is a lovely shelf, and the mounting bracket is amazing! I have not seen a floating shelf unit quite as nice as this. I am confident that you could put quiet a lot of weight on this shelf and it wouldn't budge. Great product!
