ATHOON Thick Yoga Mat with Strap Eco Friendly Non Slip Exercise TPE Yoga Mat for Men & Women Outdoor and Indoor

I will begin by stating that I'm a lover of weights and weight lifting. I have recently began practicing yoga for the flexibility and low impact it affords. So, this is the first yoga mat that I have ever purchased. Now, let me go over the most notable positive aspects of the mat.First, I selected this particular mat because it was long, 72 inches long, which allows me to fully lay within the mat's boundary. I can also do my lunges and any other extensions parallel onto the mat and not step off and potentially slip. This leads to another noticeable point, which is that the mat's surface has a nice textured finish which yields good hand and foot grip. Even with sweaty hands and feet, the mat affords me the grip to have a proper workout. Additionally, the mat's underside is textured to grab onto the carpet, in my case, without moving from position. It doesn't slide or raise up as i do lunges, for example, it stays in place from start to finish of a session. Furthermore, the mat is quite strong and has held up well given my daily use of it. Granted, i have only had the mat for about two months, but i don't notice any signs that its going to fall apart anytime soon. For those that are concerned if it has a noticeable odor, I can say that I don't notice any smell during my workouts.Now, let me go over the minor dislikes of the mat. The only minor grievance that i have with the mat is narrow, only 24 inches wide. Of course, this is only noticeable when i lay on it and extend perpendicular to it's length. So, if you are concerned with sweaty arms touching the floor then you may want a wider mat. This doesn't ruin my yoga workout, but it may be a concern for others. This is the only little, minor, tiny dislike i have, but it doesn't make me dislike my yoga mat because it positives far outweigh its negatives.I hope this helps.

LIKED:Package came in super fast. Packaged well. It came with its own mesh bag. There was NO rubbery smell at all. To my delight, the mat was thick [I like it thick as it helps my balance better and gentle on my bum.] I've had this yoga mat for almost three months now, I wipe it down with the yoga studio's spray to remove sweat & dirt.So far, it hasn't frayed and still supports me well. I totally LOVE this yoga mat. It is also lightweight.DISLIKED:The mesh thing that carries the mat. It lasted only 1 month. The thing that pulls it closed came apart within 3 weeks. After about two months, the mesh [so that the mat can breath] is torn and ripped. I still use it because it does have a carry on feature. This is why I gave it 4 stars. I will definitely need a yoga mat carry on soon.BUT, truly, - this yoga mat is PERFECT. It feels plush, no smell. I do yoga 4 to 5x a week - it's been over 90 days. So far so good. I will definitely buy from this vendor again. :)

Though not really a practitioner of yoga, I do stretch and do core exercises on a porcelain tile floor. A mat of some type is required. For years I used a soft mat that would slip and slide, and began searching for something more stable.The Athoon yoga mat fills the bill. It provides the protection/comfort required for stretching, and while performing activities such as planks, the mat holds its position, and shape(it does not deform/stretch during the plank), so I can concentrate on breathing and the position I am holding rather than adjusting position do to a slipping/stretching mat.It’s a nice mat, that works well for me, and though not a person who really practices yoga, I would suggest anyone who requires a mat for their health and fitness regimen give the Athoon a look.***Keep your German Shepherd or like size dog off the mat as their nails will rip little chunks out. Not the fault of the mat.

I bought two ATHOON yoga mats, one black/green and the other purple/violet for my boyfriend and I. We absolutely love them. They are longer and wider then the generic yoga mats you buy at Walmart or Target. They have the perfect amount of cushion, not too thin, not too thick. We loved them so much that I bought a third ATHOON yoga mat; the pink/purple one for my boyfriends mother. I am very happy with this product, it is worth the price I paid for all three yoga mats. All three mats came with a yoga mat carrier and a strap. The only negative thing I have to say about ATHOON yoga mat, is that they didn't have the color I originally wanted which was the really pretty light blue one.

I'm new to Yoga! Wanted to purchase my own Mat...who knows where the ones at the studios have been?? I like the quality and the best part? The Yellow-Green side matches my Nike iWatch band! As I struggle with poses...and fall over with poor balance...I at least coordinate MY STUFF!This is fairly priced product. You can buy cheaper and you can buy more expensive (LULU); this Mat is right in the middle. It is comfortable and I'm happy with my purchase...Namaste' your bad self!

I love the texture, it has enough cushioning for use at home on hard tile floors. I use it everday to do my stretching excersices for my arthritis. Its longer than most so I am covered head to toe when doing floor exercises. Im also starting yoga classes at community center and this is perfect. The handy straps for carrying are easy to slip on and there is even a pouch with carry strap to keep it clean. Great buy. I recommend this to anyone who needs a matt that wont bunch shift or tear when you twist, stretch and turn.

Very nice quality mat, thickness was good and love the longer length. It came with a yoga bag, strap and sling. Would be helpful to have some instructions about how to use yoga strap and sling, especially for yoga beginners or those like me who bought mat to use with workout equipment. I didn't realize the strap can be used as a prop for yoga and also to carry mat once you figure out how to tie it.
