Tudor Inspirations: Elemental beadwork Paperback – December 10, 2018

Excellent book for seed bead enthusiasts. This book is everything I want in a beadweaving book. It's unique format allows you to put individual elements together easily to create designs in your esthetic. An easy pictorial reference at the end makes finding each component and the specific required materials easily. A gallery gives you examples of the way components can be combined. There is something from the daintiest chain to large focals and much in between. Lots of size 15 seed beads are used and most components use a variety of 3 and 6mm rounds, swarovski fancy crystals and 8mm chatons and size 11 and 15/charlottes seed beads. The only two-hole seed beads I saw were a couple of projects with two-hole cabochons. Hallelujah!!!! I would recommend this book for at least an intermediate level beadweaver. Some components are easy enough for a beginner but the initial directions will be clearer for a beader with at least some experience as will the unique combining of elements . I've already started stitching projects from this book and I've seen even more examples in person. The paper, print and cover as well as the layout are all high quality enough to compare to the finest hard cover book. I don't usually give 5 stars but this book deserves it. I'll be running through it in its entirety. Highly recommended. Hope they do more.

First, I received my book quicker than I thought I would. Second, I love how my book was wrapped up. I didn't want to open it because it was so cute. I also like the little post-it note on the first page. Nice little touches.

This is a beautifully designed and printed collection of over-the-top beaded jewelry by two well known and innovative designers. Each piece can be dissected into a series of elements that can be combined and recombined in a variety of ways. Embellished with historical stories and anecdotes. Definitely a book for advanced beaders, but with inspirations for all. Detailed, clear charts.

This book is a must have! Chocked full of stand alone components, history and even romance! You will get more than your money's worth!!

As a family, we go to Renaissance fairs. I do make costumes but the jewelry has stumped me. When I saw this, I had to have it. Such beautiful components to mix and match. I know it is going to look great.

Was für ein tolles Buch! Durch die getrennte Behandlung von Anhängern und Ketten ergeben sich sehr viele Möglichkeiten, die eigene Kreativität einfließen zu lassen. Ich kann das Buch nur empfehlen und bin ganz begeistert. Lieferung war auch sehr schnell.

I have used this book extensively since I got it. The best thing is that the authors have not only set out instructions for finished items, but also individual elements so you can create your own pieces as well as learn from them. Although the finished items look difficult, a beginner can learn from the simpler elements while the more experienced beader will relish the challenge of the advanced ones. A good all rounder and a gear reference imo.

Muy buenas ideas y muy versátiles

Eines der schönsten Perlenbücher die ich besitze. Esmacht Lust, alles nachzufädeln. Tolle Anleitungen, die auch sehr gut zu fädeln sind.Zwar nicht unbedingt für Anfänger geeignet, aber wenn man schon etwas mehr Erfahrung mit dem Perlenfädeln hat, sind alle Anleitungen gut umzusetzen. Dieses Buch kann ich absolut empfehlen.

Love this book. Love the elements that can be stitched separately and then made up into larger pieces. Both these ladies inspire me in my beadwork and I'm going to be lucky enough to take classes with both of them later this year. Their love of beading and the joy they achieve through it shines on every page. Coffee table/bedtime reading while I decide which I'm going to attempt first. Thank you ladies for this fabulous book xx
