Not compatible with newer devices
My wife has an iPhone XR and I have a Google Pixel 3 XL; neither device can connect to the device. The ANYCAST M9 Plus is NOT compatible with the two phones that I just mentioned. You cannot connect to the device IP, locate the Bluetooth signal, nor can you even find the device when connecting to the device wifi 'network'.Please keep in mind that if you use the QR scanner or connect remotely to the device wifi via the device 'network' password, you will obviously not be connected to a router network, and thus, you will be using your mobile data if streaming content unless you have already downloaded the content to your device first. This device isn't accurately advertised, and I'm hesitant to say that it was falsely advertised. In my basement, my Blu-ray allows my phone to cast to the Blu-ray player without using Bluetooth. The ANYCAST device says you should download the EZMiraApp, but the app is confusing to use, and it isn't developed so that the user can easily see:A) which method you would like to use to connect (Bluetooth, wifi, IP, RF)B) the linear steps (logic) for completing any of the setup methodsC) any significant settings for the device such as what the button on the dongle does and if it is even workingD) how to even use the Cast To feature. My phone had YouTube, but the app has a 'youtube' feature also for some reason. This all just causes confusion and makes me think that the AnyCast device is simply an outdated tech gadget that has had various upgrades in an attempt to remain relevant.No- the device will likely not work with any phone 2017 or later. The newer your device is, the less likely it is to be compatible.

Perfect for office presentation but absolutely not video in any venue
I bought this because a coworker would have constant failure in attempts to Cast to large screen TV's through network based Go-to meeting presentations at clients' office. Always something just not right preventing the connection. Found this for low cost and thought to give it a try. Simply plug into the HDMI port on the TV or projector, Download EZMira app (for any platform) on your casting device and connect to it's WiFi signal. Start the App and then instantly cast to the other screen in duplicate mode. Note that the WiFi connect is so clunky that we use it only for static screen images that include Report docs, PDF's, Spreadsheets, Photos but absolutely not video. Perfect for meeting our realistic expectations.

deceptive advertising
One of the reviewers said he hesitated to say deceptive advertising. I'm not hesitating. This doe not do what they claim.Tried to play Hulu over airplay...got sound and a black screen.Their support site had this FAQ which totally contradicts their claims on AmazonAnyCast is compatible with free market videos like YouTube, Facebook, etc.Protected videos are not supported like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video..., due to the DRM protocol protection and they didn't license us the SDK. AnyCast can’t cast these contents directly at this moment. iOS devices with iOS 9~10 could download the media first to the phone before using AirPlay to mirror to TV. If your Android mobile phone supports HDCP with Miracast, you can use Miracast protocol to display content on TV. You could refer to the demo video.

Android phone could not find device
My phone (moto G6) could not find a device to cast to. In the Cast, it just says "No nearby devices were found" I don't know if the device is defective, or if it is not compatible with my phone, but I am returning it.

A Mirroring feature must be available on your Smart phone
This "gizmo" is something else! I've got 2 and love 'em. Mine are the "upgraded" version and not the latest 4K models. All you need is a good wi-fi signal, hdmi and a 5v usb input on your TV. I use this with an iphone 7, and a recent SE model and couldn't be more pleased. Pictures, home videos, internet movies & everything else on my phone is exactly mirrored. Picture and sound are excellent. For help, Google a YouTube instruction video and install the free EZMira phone app.

Not for you if you have clearance issues
Good device, easy to setup as long as long as you have clearance to your HDMI jack. Mine comes out the bottom and since it us rigid, it won't bend and I needed to add in a stubby 90° connector cable, which cost me an extra couple of bucks. Chromecast, Roku and other anycast devices have either come with one, or had a design that had an integrated cable.

Works, marginally
Works pretty well. Easy to set up with no Wifi. Picture can be jittery even with only 4ft separation of phone to device. Netflix, possibly others able to block video so useless for that. Not a lot of money but may return.
