This product is excellent. I am a fan of roast pork belly and this is the perfect tool to make it with. I was very excited when it arrived and found it was tough enough to get through the pork fat with ease.

Bought this to pierce pork skin for crispy roasted pork belly - the points aren't sharp enough to penetrate without using excessive force which causes hand pain and quick fatigue. I've returned to using a sharp knife for this purpose. Probably works well as a meat tenderiser though.

Great for making Chinese crispy pork 😁. Plastic handle a little flimsy. Would buy wooden version in hindsight but works well.

The spring broke on second use.

Just could not get enough force on this to make it work fully, could be the resiliance of british pork of course but mines now in the bin.

I have long wondered how to get the skin of pork super crispy in the Chinese style. While researching some recipes this type of gadget was mentioned as a means of piercing the skin to achieve this, along with a salt crust. I found this one in a search on Amazon about 4 days before christmas Well, I didn't expect to see it until at least after New Year, but it arrived in time for Christmas which was brilliant! (I accidentally ordered two and gave one away as a present!) I can't fault anything about this purchase at all! (free delivery too!)

Much easier to use on thicker meat than my blade type tenderizer. can recomend it as a good buy and very well made

I bought this product because I like Chinese belly pork. The pork won !!!!! The implement didn’t penetrate the skin. It will probably work easily on other types of meat
