airSUP Bucket Hat for Stand Up Paddle Surf & Sun Protection Wide Brim Fast Drying Polyester

Been wearing a bucket style hat for surfing for a few years and after noticing more people in the lineup wearing similar hats, I felt it was time to "go one up" on the crowd and upgrade to one with sun protection for the back of the neck. It seems well-made and it survived a fun session on the North Shore of Oahu that killed my wetsuit after going over the falls and into the washing machine. It managed to stay on through all that and never felt like it was going to come off - which has happened with the other hat I have. Also love the venting on the top. Just wish it came in different colors, but that is a minor gripe that doesn't affect the product rating which is all about performance.

Finally found a surfing hat that fits my 60cm/23.5 inch XL head! When I first got it the fit was very snug, but with use it stretched a bit so it's perfectly snug for duck diving and wiping-out! LOL. A very well made/rugged hat that's worked great for 10 sessions so far. Did not have any bad smell to the hat like others have mentioned, washed it like directed and some color/micro fibers came out. Previously bought a cap-type but was way too small with no give. Then tried FCS Essential Bucket hat, since Regular Bucket was not in stock, when hat arrived it looked like a hat that a banjo player at a pizza parlor would wear. So RIGHT ON, airSUP, GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT VALUE!

I've used it in Pacifica, Montara and 4-6ft day in ocean beach with my short board. I never have to worry about losing the hat. The adjustable strap makes it stay tight and snug without giving me a headache.Most of all, the little fabric at the back keeps your neck cool under the brutal sun. It's time to bring the bucket hat style back!

I've owned this hat for about two years now. I use it when I paddle my SUP, surf ski, kayaks, and racing canoe. It stays on my head when I roll my kayaks, re-mount my surf ski, in rough conditions, and gusty wind. The visor does a good job of keeping the sun out of my eyes, and the hat does a fair job of protecting from UV rays. The only odor problem I've had with the hat has come from my own sweat - washing corrects that. I just went to this Amazon listing to get another one.

The neck shade attachment came off from no abuse after just a few uses - one of the three attachments actually just came off when I was getting ready to go out - I went with the xtra sunscreen on the neck option, lol. The neck strap at full length is tight for someone with a big head (me) but I can deal with it at full length. I will sew the neck flap on to resolve the problem and will keep using it. All in all, the hat is OK, and I will keep using it for as long as it lasts (I paddle 3-4x week year round) which is why I gave it 3 stars, but when I need a new hat I will buy another brand.

I have to say, ive made a good decision in choosing this hat. I kitesurf a lot and the Caribbean sun is not an easy partner. The chinstrap needs some getting used to but is the best thing when you fall. Hat doesn't go portside when you go starboard.The brim is nice and firm and doesn't flip up and stay like others. Overall, great quality product for the price.The only peeve I had is the oversized large box it was shipped in, no need for that. Perhaps a bubble envelope?I would recommend this to the other bucket hats on the market.

Finally a wider brim water hat for SURFERS. Best surf I've tried, & I've tried many. Has never come off yet and I'm prone to nosediving my old log. Keeps earplugs in and I haven't lost any earplugs since using this hat.Hat is great! Would like to see an option of sewn in 5 mil wet suit material on top AND AROUND ENTIRE PERIMETER so that entire hat offers protection to head ! Thanks for a great surf hat!

Very comfortable hat and chin strap. It stays on when you dive into the water off your board and the front of the brim has rigidity so the brim stays out of your face when wet. It appears to be neutrally-buoyant so I attached a key float on the back just in case. The neck flap is easily removed or put back on with three buttons. It's a quality hat.

Best thing about this hat is that it is very effective - keeps the sun off, stays put, maybe not the most stylish but who cares when you're out there paddling!!!. The back flap started to come off but a quick stitch fixed that and no problems since.

届いてあげて開けてみたら特別安いわけでないのに裁縫が荒い、染みみたいなのもある匂いも若干独特。中国で作られてるみたいだけど店頭だったら絶対に売られてないような作り方だった。ちゃんとしたやつが良いならこれはやめたほうがいいし安いのももっとあるからそれでもいいかも

つばの部分が若干硬く作られていると記載されておりますが、普通の帽子のツバより厚みがあり、若干硬いくらいです。水中では抵抗になり危険では？他社のは柔らかい素材で使用感も見た目も自然でした。

首筋の後も しっかりとカバーしてあり海の中に ぶっ飛ばされても 外れません前の日差しは 少し硬く 陽射しを防げていいですね〜SUPの必需品 値付けが 少し高いですね
