You can do it either way. If you apply over the old layer, it will just become more visible, but will still work. To keep it as invisible as possible, remove the old layer by touching a piece of tape to the film and lifting it off before reapplying. If irritating, just apply over the old layer. - Scarguard Labs

Yes, it works very well. The only way that it wouldn't work on the eyebrow is if he lost hair in the injury. That usually does not come back. My son has a small scar in his eyebrow where the hair did not grow back. My daughter has used this product on her face for stitches four times and her scars have Completely healed. It goes on like a thin layer of nail polish at night and wears away by morning. If you use consistently it is a remarkable product.

Does it treat dark spots from healed acne?

No, not exactly, but, it makes a similar product called" Scar Guard Scar Light", also sold on Amazon by the same seller. This specifically is made for dark spots especially from acne. They also sell "Scar Guard" for bruises, really to make them go away faster. All these products are excellent ! I would try it if I were you..

Does scarguard MD change a new packing to scarguard labs scar repair liquid? It's different from my last purchase back to a couple months ago.

the scare was pretty bumpy and old

I had a scar due to a cosmetic surgery.and yes "Scarguard" , did help me to reduce the appearance to quite an extant.In my case,the scare was pretty bumpy and old,may be for new scars,it works well.
