What a super value compared to grocery stores. These pepper flakes are nice and fresh along with a nice level of heat and aroma. The flakes themselves are a nice size. The holes in the lid are too small for the pepper flakes to be shaken out though. Quite alright because i transfer smaller quantities to my other shakers. Highly recommended.

I eat so much red pepper flakes that I decided to get the big bottle to stow anway and just empty some into the old smaller normal sized bottle in my spice rack. A great deal and the spices taste FRESH and SPICIER than the last normal sized bottle of red pepper flakes I bought!

I bought this "bulk-size" container intending to use these pepper flakes as squirrel repellent (the little monsters just love to dig up my garden beds looking for nuts they may or may not have buried there, and they also dig up and eat my corn and bean seeds!) But as I was sprinkling it all over my re-planted garden, I noticed it smelled really good. I ended up taking some inside to use in cooking, too, and the aroma and flavor really are first-rate: nice and spicy, but flavorful, too! (Oh, it has also successfully kept the squirrels away, so far!)
