Ghost Photos The paranormal Caught on Film Hardcover – January 1, 2009

I'm a huge skeptic, yet I love ghost and alien lore. I wish ghosts were real but never had a solid enough experience and just don't think enough evidence exists to support their existence. I myself have photographed probably a dozen or so images where an anomaly of some kind seems to manifest itself on the image, but is often easily explainable or a simple case of pareidolia.That being said, I should have anticipated that this book would be biased towards that of a believer. The book is very comprehensive and includes many entries that aren't blatant fakes or photoshops, but also includes many that have been 100% debunked, yet the author does not mention this and leans towards authentic rather than fake. Which is fine, it can all be a bit of good fun, but I do wish it was a little more objective in each description of the photos.But it's nice to have a comprehensive collection of (alleged) ghost photographs. There's little scientific information or research that went into this book and reads more like a collection of ghost stories. Probably more fit for a teenage or younger crowd. Ghost enthusiasts will probably still enjoy it as long as they don't take it too seriously.Two of my favorites, Cooper Ghost and Tina Resch, unfortunately didn't make it into the book.

It's an even greater buy if you can buy it used.However, the best book to buy is The Best of Ghosts Caught on Film: The Paranormal and the Supernatural Caught on Camera (no date), for it contains all of the photos from these books and an additional section of photos, Ghosts in the House, that cannot be found in any of the other Willin books.
