AeroPilates Pilates Reformer Machine, Gym Equipment for Resistance Workout, Strength & Fitness Training - Foldable & Compact

TLDR - This reformer is amazing for the price for home reformer workouts. Long version - I see a lot of people saying not to buy a "cheap" reformer because they don't compare to the studio reformers. While this is true, most of us don't need a studio reformer for at-home pilates for many reasons. Studio reformers are built for all sizes of people, and to be used many times a day. Studios have more money to invest in higher quality reformers, and they have an image to uphold. That's all great, but for the average sized person who uses their reformer once daily, this reformer is great. I was taking in-studio pilates classes before purchasing this, so I have a good feel for the difference. While there is a difference to be sure, there's no reason for a non-professional not to try this reformer if the price is right for you. I'm able to follow along with any youtube video without feeling like the machine isn't up to par. It glides smoothly & feels strong & secure. The resistance bands aren't going to pop out and cause damage, and the machine's core doesn't feel janky or cheap. A couple of caveats though: - I'm 5'7" 140lbs & I'd say this reformer won't be great for anyone over 5'8". At my height it seems like it's at it's limit. Weight-wise it could definitely support much more weight. - I purchased some accessories to improve the reformer and the one I definitely suggest is new resistance bands - I put on two of the red "strong" weight bands, one yellow "light" and kept one black "medium" weight. That gives me way more resistance options. I also got the box & double arm loops, which are both not as necessary as upgrading the resistance bands. - When releasing the main platform (like bringing the platform back in after extending it against the resistance bands) it can really slam against it's stopper pegs & it can be jarring, especially when doing leg reps. I'm going glue some foam padding onto them and I think that should solve the problem. - My only real complaint about the machine that can't be solved with an alteration is that the foot bar can't angle, it's only straight up & down. Wish I could find a replacement or that they'd make one but so far I'm getting along with the straight foot bar. I think an angled foot bar would even make this machine more suitable for taller people so it'd be a huge improvement. It's a great addition to my home gym & I've stopped going to in-person pilates classes because I like working out with this reformer so much.

Glides smoothly and offers true reformer workout at a reasonable price. Not hard to put together but does require attention to detail. Very happy with it.

Great machine for the money. My wife loves it. I gave it 4 Stars because the description says that this is a portable machine. It is draggable, not portable. Once you set it up, moving it to a new location takes 2 people. Despite the fact that is does fold in half, it is unwieldy and cumbersome.

I started taking reformer classes about 15 years ago at our gym. There is a cost, so I would only go once a week. I loved working out on the reformer, and always wanted one at home. I saw this, read the reviews, and my husband agreed that we should get it. It arrived 2 days before the expected date, and was very easy to assemble. My husband is a structural engineer, specializing in steel and concrete, and was very pleased with the product. He says that it is well designed and constructed. We have both been using it for over 3 weeks, and are very pleased with it. Some people have commented that it makes a clanking noise when used. Ours does, too, but having examined it while I was using it, my husband says that it is the rollers going over the joint, and doesn’t effect the performance. I adjusted the straps for my arms and then my legs, making marks with a silver permanent marker to make it quicker when adjusting them when needed. The enclosed videos were very helpful, but I do recommend a few lessons, or working with someone who has reformer knowledge to be sure you are using it correctly. It’s one thing to do the exercises, it’s another to do them correctly. Because of my experience in using a reformer, I am able to coach my hubby in doing it correctly. The rebounder is a great addition to my workout. I have read that NASA says that 10 minutes on a rebounder, is equivalent to a 30 minute run. I believe it! Because of arthritis, I can’t jog, but this has been an easy way to get in some cardio.

Very fun way to exercise! It seems like there are endless ways to move and strengthen the core. It is nice and quiet, while being sturdy. Both my husband and I are enjoying it. It is fun changing out the resistance cords in a timely manner between moves. It is a lengthy machine, but the base is plenty big to mobilize comfortably for the entire array of positions. We really enjoy the constant change up and being in motion while getting fit!

Do not buy this Pilates reformer if you are tall. The carriage is too short and does not allow for the full range of motion that is required to exercise properly, specifically during leg exercises.

Awesome product. My old body (60’s) changed shape and size in 30 days. I did levels 1 and 2 EVERY day for 30 minutes. Great results with smaller hips and waist. I feel 20 years younger and my clothes fit so much better. I can carry about 5 grocery bags on each arm which is great unloading the car. Best of all, it’s fun! I put on my music - loud and visually watch the DVD. Initially you need to LISTEN to DVD to learn the correct form and breathing but once you have that down you can listen to motivating music. Other benefits- I’m sleeping better and have more energy. I’m getting older but I’m going fighting and kicking with my new anti old body weapon- aeropilates reformer.

Llego en el tiempo indicado, un mes aproximadamente. Armarla fue fácil siguiendo el instructivo y además trae las herramientas necesarias para hacerlo. No es profesional pero si de buena calidad, necesitas por lo menos 2 mts. De espacio para poder usarla . Me he divertido haciendo ejercicio en casa a la hora que yo desee y no a la hora que haya disponibilidad en un estudio de pilates. Trae un póster con los ejercicios y parte del cuerpo que trabajarás, yo en lo personal prefiero poner un video en la TV y seguirlo. Le doy 4 estrellas porque los resortes no tienen color y no sé cuál es de mayor o menor resistencia. Lo recomiendo.

This machine is used daily and has held up well. Easy to put together.

We love our AeroPilates 701 Reformer. It was easy to assemble. We use it daily and are enjoying the benefits. Only wish I had purchased it sooner!
