The description stated it was bed bug and lice proof. I do not see how that could be true since it is only for the top of the mattress. I gave it 2 stars because it is of good quality, leak proof, and waterproof. However, I ordered it to enclose the entire mattress, not just the top. Bed bugs go under mattress too, they are not stopped by a MATTRESS TOPPER.

I ordered this mattress protector for my 17-year-old sons new memory foam mattress. Mom’s of teenage boys know how they sweat. It’s more or less a sweat or spill barrier for him. No issues so far but we’ll see how it holds up after the summer and football for sure.

This is not waterproof. Ruined a brand new mattress.

If you are buying this to be waterproof- -do not- -this is not waterproof. My daughter had an accident, and it went right through onto the mattress. Otherwise, if you are just buying it to use as a mattress pad, it is fine.

This is perfect if your pet has "accidents" and you'd like your mattress to stay dry. There is a plasticish backing but it doesn't sound or feel like it. The extra deep pockets are excellent for staying in place and its easily washable and dryable(makes sure to see correct dryer settings)

It’s not water proof if you looking for a water proof resistant mattress look somewhere else.

I don’t quite see how this could be water proof. It’s so thin and there’s no plastic like layer like prior water covers we’ve bought. This won’t work for our toddlers bed in case of accidents

I purchased this for my toddler/young daughter's bed who is potty trained but still needs a pull-up at night. The few times she has wet the bed at night, it soaked through the sheets and through this mattress cover causing the mattress to be wet. I was very disappointed in the product as cleaning and drying a mattress is much harder to do. I will be purchasing a different cover and throwing this one away, waste of money.
