The Military Wool 5 Button Sweater is a great choice for the outdoorsman looking for warmth or for casual wear. The five oversized button closure is both effective and handsome. The ribbed waist and sleeve cuffs add to the comfort level and heat retention. It looks sharp, and yes, of course it's warm. Incredible quality U.S.A made Military Issue style. These are the authentic fatigue sweater first worn by Troops in WWII. 100% wool, rib knit cuffs and waist. Recommended dry clean or hand launder.

No measurements for the sleeves
Ordered this thinking of my Army issued one. Quality is good and overall just like the one issued at Bragg. However, the sleeves are ridiculously long. I ordered a XXL and the fit in the torsos is pretty good; however, the sleeves are 40" from midline to cuff. Even rolled up they seem too long. I like this sweeter because it can be worn under a jacket. The elongated cuffs and waist band make it perfect for that. (perhaps one of the few designs for the Army that work). However, with sleeves at 40" you'd have to be one lanky SOB for this to work. I'm 6'3 and this might fit someone 6'7. At this sleeve length the garment is useless.

The only piece you need for the cold months.
Great wool sweater. For someone that is 5'11" and weights at the range of 150 lbs, a medium size is a little big. However, that extra space is great for layering and for extra dead air. All in all, it's a recommended sweater.

Decent but be aware
Decent quality . Fit is very snug at the hips so taking the sweater off cannot be done carelessly. There is no room for it. You must gently lift over your head with arms straight up. Otherwise a really nice sweater . Durability is 50/50. I do think holes are going to appear eventually due to the snug fit and removing the sweater.

(XXXL) fits like a (M)
I went up 2 sizes and the only thing that changed is the sleeve length. this isn't going to cut it. Insulation works by trapping a layer of air around your body. This trapped layer of air is called Dead-Air Space. Creating a lot of Dead-Air Space in your clothing is the secret to keeping warm in cold weather. This is so tight it's like a muscle shirt or something. it's basically worthless!

Definitely worth it!
Fits as I expected, but that being said it's pretty form fitting to put it one way. If you order a size up the arms might be too long, size down and the chest and waist would be way too tight. But that being said, its nice, 100% wool and very cozy. Haven't found any flaws in construction.

A great sweater even for those that have put on a few pounds since the Navy
This is a good sweater. It fits me a little snug, but that's because I have a bit more belly than it is designed to fit. It stills does the job well and might even be a little loose for someone more trim and fit as those in the military that the design was based upon.
