Oliberte Men's Ngola

I wore these boots everyday for 100 days before and during my travels in India. They were exposed to salted snowy roads, mountain forests, jungles, deserts, beaches, and city streets. I REPLACED THE INSOLES before my journey. The standard insoles are alright for a couple hours at a time. I replaced them with the superfeet orange (high-impact, performance, and comfort). The Insoles fit well and take up some extra room in the overly spacious toe box. I conditioned my pair about every 10 days with coconut oil only. No wax, no polish. After about 80 days of continuous wear a couple stitchings frayed and broke. These areas had another parallel stitching so the damage was minimal and easily repaired for Rs 200 ($3.33).My ratings are as followed on a 1-5 scale:Comfort: 4 (replaced the insoles)Durability: 5Dry Climates: 4 (sand and dirt are no issue when laced appropriately)Wet Climates: 2 (unwaxed leather)Cold weather: 3 (no insulation)Hot weather: 3 (poor ventilation)Rocky terrain: 4 (flexible foot bed and leather)Treads: 5 (superior traction in most conditions. aggressive enough for mountain hiking)Recommendations:1. replace the insole2. condition the leather3. wear wool socks (hiking socks)4. avoid wearing in salted paths5. order according to centimeters, not the US sizing*The amazon picture of the boot skews the image drastically*The Ngola is a great looking boot and will take care of your feet as long as you take care of the boot. Great boot and very comfortable. Beware that the pull loop is not designed to be pulled on. I put them on the first time and it broke. Should have a warning not to pull it.

Absolutely the most painful, uncomfortable shoe I've ever had on my foot for less than 15 seconds.Awful...A shame... neat looking shoe.

cool boots but fit and quality are lacking. the pull loop broke the first time i put them on and they rubbed me weird and weren't that comfortable.

Great boots. I get compliments every time I wear them. I went a little too hard in them though and wore them while cleaning a pool filter more than once. Pool, chemicals, muck and mud caused these boots to age prematurely. They're dfnintely a "rustic" brown now.

First, I must say, this boot looks better in person than in pictures online. The grey brushed color is more of a blue-grey, but looks really sharp. Fit as expected and very comfortable through a week of use. Just a little different than most of the boots you see people wearing these days, enough so that people will notice. I wear them both with the laces done up all the way, combat-boot style, and with the laces loose and pants tucked in to the boot. Both look great and I'm ecstatic about my purchase.
